The way you present this is a tad strawman-y, but I'm happy to explain. Part of it is that I was feeling stuck in a rut reads/vote wise and wanted to go on a magical journey.

I agree with his evaluation of your Zenzao read; I think that the way you responded to Waco's question was anti-town at best. Most importantly, based on your follow up, I think that you acting as though you and Kai had the same read necessarily for the same reason is strange. Of the 6-odd posts mal made before Kai called out mal, you addressed one. Kai had given no indication of his reads on fluff or Bill Door at the time. It also seems disingenuous that you came back to mal's case and doubled down on exactly your previous opinions - you eventually admit you weren't all the way caught up, but you don't seem concerned about the fact that you've missed out on pages of content in your initial response.

Another thing - it's hard for me to take you seriously as someone trying to understand the game with these three gems in your wall:

The disagreement re: opinions on what makes a newbie seems fairly unalignment indicative, though I'm having trouble understanding the "newbies should be treated like everyone else!" tirade in conjunction with this post. Though on the note of that post,

Regarding your Waco case:

The good:
I've thought of Waco in this game as somewhat subdued and exploratory compared to his repeated profession earlier that he's excited to "catch scum." I have thought about the fact that it's weaksauce for him to say "The only thing that bugs me about it" [...] "it felt like for some reason" [...] "it kinda struck me as similarly weak", and after I explain he says some variation of "oh it makes sense why you would do that." I'm surprised by it but can't ascribe a particular motivation to it.

The bad:
The team connections you're drawing seem bullshit, and the cases you've made seem really based in those connections. (I think it's possible you're town and are trying to put words to a feeling that, hey, all the people your gut doesn't like all are pushing back on you, let me try to explain to the peanut gallery, but it's definitely not a towntell.)

The most obvious instance of that to me is here:

Waco doesn't quote Jarizok but I'm just throwing that in there for context. 2 minute difference timestamps don't strike me as delayed; this seems like a weird example/weird thing to be fixated on, particularly since Jarizok's response to this then comes five minutes later.

Hi, we're not policy lynching Citrus today. If later in the game, I'd dead and he's alive, you can review this game and then go ham on him. But I don't see us getting to a point where lynching citrus is a good idea in the next 22ish hours. Looking at the Waco vs Majube vs owner wagons, how many of those would you expect to be scum? Was the dearth of activity in the thread because the scumteam was happy with the direction the thread was going, or because they had already given up on their scumbuddy? Have they tried to push counterwagons? Which "off in the middle of nowhere" vote is most likely to be scum?

Hi guys, so I'm one of your Town PRs. Yay!! Lucky me. Anyways, I'm looking at the vote count. All 3 of the people voting for me are experienced vets who are probably stubborn like myself about reads. I don't see them changing their vote on me unless I do something drastic like claiming.

Yes, by claiming I have more or less made my role useless, if there's a roleblocker in the game. But I didn't see hardly any other options. And you can still win if I die.

Mostly, I just want to lynch mafia today. But to do that, we have to come together and agree with each other. And understand where each other is coming from. Sure, I could have probably self-pres voted on someone else later on in the day, but I'd rather us make use of the time I have left to live.

Also, Delphine, Mal, and Waco Kid if you guys still end up deciding to lynch me please be sure to apologize to town tomorrow.

Couple of things I find fault with here.

1. Your phrasing.

2. Not retracting your vote on Waco and placing it somewhere else.

3. Pulling this stunt before tomorrow-night.

1a. Rather than counter or debunk Waco's claims, you include him, Delphine, Citrus, and Mal in the blanket-ping up top followed by the statement "one of YOUR Town PRs".

1b. "All 3 of the people voting for me are experienced vets who are probably stubborn like myself about reads. I don't see them changing their vote on me unless I do something drastic like claiming."

The conclusion I draw from this is that you're viewing those three as town and are desperately attempting to stay afloat. Thus...

2a. Since your top three scumspects have been realigned to town, why do you not at the very least recant your vote on Waco if you are not going to place it among the next-scummiest according to your wall(being Citrus, Jarizok, then Proph r Palindrome, HF, Maj)? Why are you so concerned with swaying them off of you but you don't offer them someone else?

3a. You're advancing the usual scum tactic of last-minute 'lol Town PR guys don't lynch me bro' by a good amount of time, well before even a soft-lynch has been amassed.

Conclusion: If you aren't scum, you're third party with an agenda. If we can still win even with you dead and per your own admittance your supposed PR is useless with a RB present(and balance by Fonti would suggest this is a must), again, why not counter Waco or try to press for another lynch yourself?

Was the flavor in the opening post there before toDay started? Well, that does seem to indicate a pure town/scum game. The line that got me thinking of 3p!owner is this, "Mostly, I just want to lynch mafia today."

Why mostly? Shouldn't anything else be involved in the process of finding and thus lynching scum? I've played with 3p before and that rang familiar in a bad way to me.

Waco is still pretty scummy to me, but I'm finding you increasingly annoying.

It's not a stunt. It's the real deal.

I mentioned everyone as I wanted no excuses. I wanted everyone to see my claim. I already made my case on Waco. There's nothing more to say beyond that.

I'm still pretty suspicious of all three of them, but I do have to consider the possibility that I am wrong here. In which case, we could really use them. Delphine seems slightly townie in her response to me, but it still feels kind of lacking. The two other times that I really played with her she was making cases more often. Or pushing on people, this game she seems more laid back or not that aggressive towards anyone. That's the main reason why I'm suspicious of her aside from the connections I've drawn from Waco to her. Out of three, Mal would be that I'm least suspicious of at the moment. There are some similarities in activity to last game where he was town.

I don't want to ever be mislynched as town again. So in order to prevent this, I have to do something.

I claimed PR rather than my actual role because of the what was mentioned about claiming in the opening if I recall right. In WH7, I claimed my role within the last 24 hours of the day. I'm doing the same thing this game. I don't like where the lead wagons are at this point so I'm doing something about it.

No one wants to be myslynched. It sucks. But you were not in danger of being myslynched at the time you decided to do this. You were looking at three choices; counter Waco's claims to prove your towniness and his own scumminess; accept voting Majube to consolidate on the opposing wagon; or attempt to rally to another wagon. Instead you opted to stall by claiming a town PR but then also invalidate your supposed role by saying you could be nullified by a RB, thus if you are not lynched toDay and you survive toNight you could justify not applying whatever this power is. Before I changed my mind when writing that post I was going to list every wall with a link back to their respective posts for transparency sake and then try to compare placement against statements and see if everything lined up(with what the respective player was saying and with what others were saying).

I may still get around to doing before DayEnd, but its an arduous prospect.

Regarding how to interpret my colored-wall, I'd like to hear what mal has to say on the matter too.

If we turn out to be wrong on Maj, I'll re-evaluate some things. But I feel like Waco and Delphine have both made good points against owner, and Waco's alignment of Maj/owner feels right. At the moment I'd consider a possibility of miner, Citrus, or Bill for the last member of the scum trinity, and I can offer my reasoning if asked.
