I figured that it'd be safe to play because of HOTS Oni Genji promotion this morning.

Instead of a pro genji I got a sombra and a widowmaker, and then someone dc'ed.

We won 5v6 somehow.

I am unfathomably frustrated and upset right now. Just dropped by over 100 points after 4 losses spread out over today. I may just be done with competitive for the rest of the season.

 

Before today my winrate on Zarya was 65%. I know I'm not perfect and there are many things that I could be doing better, but today it felt like (besides game 3) that it was out of my hands entirely. Here is a basic list of what happened in those four losses.

1. Lijang. A normal game, acceptable loss. The team just didn't come together. DPS weren't getting kills and healers weren't keeping people alive.

2. Numbani, against one of those bad healers. This time he goes Rein and the rest of his team cleans ours up. We have a zenyatta who always waits too long to ult, resulting in the team dying and his ult being wasted. A frustrating game that could have been won if the DPS were targeting the right enemies.

Was forced off Zarya on to Tracer to keep their payload from caping the final point. This failed due to a d.va flying up and off it and not staying within the range to block movement.

3.Dorado. After 2 games of Zarya and losses, I feel like playing a bit of Sombra. I do, and the team loses their shit and half go dps because I don't immediately change. I stay as sombra for the first defence point, before changing to Zarya once it becomes clear that the team are a bunch of children who are going to throw a tantrum if they don't get their way. We barely lose the defence, they make it with 30 seconds remaining.

On attack, one of those DPS guys take Zarya so I go healer.

I'm coordinating team ults. "When I use Zen ult, Zarya and hog use yours."
I bust out ult and zarya.. does nothing as roadhog ults.

The entire team goes ZARYA WTF.

"I left team chat because genji's voice annoyed me."

I lose my collective shit.

4.Kings Row. We manage a good defence and take them to overtime before they cap. Cool. Groovy. Team is working well.

We go on attack and a duo decides to Pharah mercy. Cool, okay, that can work.

They spend the entire game on the ground, not flying or killing anyone. 2 team slots wasted. The Mercy doesn't get a healing medal because Pharah is taking no damage at all.

Gold: Ana
Silver: Soldier
Bronze: Roadhog.

I flip my collective shit at them for refusing to change after it not working after 2 minutes.

But no matter, keep playing right?

Most of the team dies while im running back from spawn to point A. Mercy rez' them, I see d.va has her ult.

I throw out a Blackhole and catch the entire enemy team in it.

THIS IS IT. GO TIME.

As soon as they respawn instead of engaging they all run away

I die from the collective enemy team collapsing on me like my singularity.

On the bright side their Lucio and Zen panic ult'ed at the same time, so surely we'll be able to make something out of this, right?

No.

Just no.

Playing on the weekend is so not worth it.

There's a week left. There's no point in stopping now if I'm being honest. Worst case scenario I get a few hundred more CP than I would have otherwise, best case, I go on an amazing streak, get the best players ever and hit Master.

One can dream...

 

This game is so stupid, lol.

Just went on 5 match winstreak and now I'm at 3001, 2 points below where I was before I had my 4 back to back losses.

 

It's based on a few things.

Which side has the high/lower combined SR + How you actually perform in the match.

 

Teleporter is still strong on point 1, but you now have the options to reinforce a team, rather than bolster via quick reinforcements.

 

I was up late last night trying to hit master with my friend before bed.

I gave up around 1 am.

As I laid in bed, when ever I closed my eyes, all I could see was Overwatch.
