You can read into it however you want.

As for font... she can be town today. I already mentioned that.

    Snow should hang though.

Tom probably should hang based on how he's been playing too.

    Decisions Decisions.

I don't like Jari calling fluff town whilst doubtcasting. Makes a lot of sense in a w/w Jari/fluff world where he's keeping everything open.

Plus I think the planned start is just too much.

At no point did I call fluff town. I don't believe you believe I did either.

    Cool beans.

Somebody remind me not to post any more walls after this is over. That shit is mislynch city it seems.

First, I can't really argue with people finding my style to be artificial past saying that it's not, and somehow I don't find that to be a winning argument.

I was falling into a pattern of constant defense, which is worthless, so I took the night off, looked at the thread with fresh eyes this morning. But the thread was dead besides Jari, so I poked Jari to get a response I wanted, then compiled notes and wrote up my conclusions/poked the other people whom owed me responses (or whom I owed responses).

On Cobalt, maybe you /can/ know from two posts totaling well less than 100 words, but he would be the first player I've ever known who you could call lock town from that. Characterizing it as two posts is not strawmanning it, because it /was/ two posts. And he claimed, which is anti-town, and it seemed like he was trying too hard (with the all caps). I just... idek. That is not town behavior.

To the Von/Math interactions, I can only say that Von showed no progression from his "Math is like TH Math" to "Math is lock town". Sure, fonti did her thing there, but does that really convince Snow that he needs to bump Math from "scum playing just like last game" to "this person is in my towncircle"? It's not the number of posts, it's the lack of real progression - 22 posts is meant to be illustrative of no real time. He slides from "probably scum" to "ehh, maybe different" to "towncircle" very quickly.

For the second part (attacking him for building a town circle and questioning it, as you put it), I was mostly attacking all of the things wrong with the post where Snow was justifying his apparent belief in fonti. The particular issue is despite reaching for a big town circle, when forced to justify one of its members he's waver-y. It was "these are the reason I trust in fonti, maybe, but also I could be wrong". If that was the only thing I'd give him a pass because it's fonti (although I'd wonder why he was calling her part of the towncircle anyway), but it doesn't bode well for him in concert with everything else.

And I don't really know what to say to everyone who thinks we're out of his scumrange, except I'm pretty sure that we're not. But, like the argument about my style that's not very convincing, so w/e I guess.

    Ok I will digest that.

I am still confused about the relation or lack thereof between these two things even though you kind of explained.

Me saying Fluff looks townie? That's nowhere near being town and we all know that. You were towny af last game but you sure as hell weren't town.

Okay, let me be clear then - I think Snow is trying to build a town circle big enough to rely on their reads (ie he can pick and choose as necessary) so he doesn't have to have much in the way of opinions or commit to anything dangerous in the endgame. He can just let the town circle that he's made guide him. I think this is the case because I think he knows that he can't be townread in his usual way as scum if he is high activity all game, so by building the towncircle and allowing them to guide him, he can be low activity without being terribly suspicious.

The first bit you bolded is just a scummy post. It just is. They are connected insofar as the first bit makes me think he is scum to the point that I've moved past "he could be scum" to "okay, what is scum!Snow's plan here", which then produces the second bit.

Semantic differences, I suppose. When i say someone is towny that's what i mean. If I thought they were acting town I'd say so.

    Delphine has joined the townbloc.

People who don't like how I'm playing can stay mad.

(I'll make it up to you later tom, but everyone else can take a hike.)

Math's reactions to your post talking about set up felt off.

It was unnecesary to comment on it in the first place because we were never going to continue that discussion. It also had that same feel of pretend anger to it that their posts had last game while most of their other posts this game have seemed pretty decent.

It just felt like they were railing at you just for the heck of it until they found an actual target.
