I am looking for the best super!harry fics around. Here are the criteria:

-Greater than 150,000 words
-Are super!harry(duh)
-Harry is rich
-Have a political aspect
-Have a pairing
-Are not slash
-And all the other things that make a fic good (plot, characters...)

 

Sorry...I am new and still finding my way around.

 

There is Knowledge is Power by SerpentSannin. The writer lifted the story from ffbet vut Nkair-something something reposted it. Just google it.

 

There is Miranda Flairgod's stuff It doesn't have any pairing for Harry and has secondary nonexplicit OC character slash but otherwise it is good fit for this.

Harry Potter crossovers tend to have strong/super Harry Potters.

The Havoc Side of the Force - This Harry might not quite qualify as 'super', but he tends to stomp most of the opposition. There's also no politics in it.

Wand and Shield - Again, Harry is quite powerful, but his enemies are also extraordinary. No politics in this one either.

Browncoat, Green Eyes - This one doesn't really fit your criteria since there isn't much/any fighting. Harry is most definitely 'super' though. Also no politics present.

None of these fics fit all of your criteria, but they're worth reading if you have the time.

 

I suppose Catharsis by Nuhuh should probably count, what with the arcane powers Harry has as Master of Death.

The Order of the Phoenix by Ruskbyte

Pros:

- Lighthearted, canon-emulating tone
- Capable(ish) antagonists
- The Harry/Ginny romance is filled with fun and sexy moments instead of useless fluff
- Good pacing, decent plot
- Has a complete sequel.
- Completely original plot (written in 2002)

Cons
- Shows its age.
- Ruskbyte has a style of writing that is a bit weird. I like it, but I can see how someone would instantly dislike it (I think it's the South African english that does it).
- Characterization is a bit kooky.
- Only one chapter of the third fic in the trilogy was ever released.
- Post-GoF. If you can't live with stuff from the last 3 books, you won't be happy.

 

Catharsis pretty much owns this category. It was kind of the whole point of the story, if I recall correctly.

I remember fondly this fic as being one of the first I read. Obviously it hasn't aged so well, and some aspect are just not really relevant (i.e. There's a lot of politics in it, but in the end it doesn't matter at all). Nonetheless, there are still nice little ideas that were novel at the time and made the whole thing an interesting thing to read.

Harry Potter and the Summer of Change
COMPLETE Edit in process. PostOOTP, Very Little of HBP. Harry returns to Privet Drive and Tonks helps him become the man and hero he must be to survive. HONKS. Action, Violence, Language and Sexual Situations

Another old fic which is now considered outdated; it's filled with clichés (Unspeakable Harry being one of them), but it's definitely a Super!Harry, with a Harry/Tonks pairing. I can't remember if there is any "politics" about it, but the whole Agent secret thing might fill that niche for you.

 

A Long Journey Home is worth a read - not your run-of-the-mill super!Harry story, but it technical meets all the requirements you listed, and is great.

 

Blindness kind of fits the bill here. Not your typical super-Harry story, but he's definitely considerably more powerful than anyone else, it's political in parts, and it's unashamedly a Harry/Hermione story. Very unconventional, in that there's not really a main villain as yet - Harry's struggle so far is with his own moral limit - but I enjoy it quite a bit. The main antagonist has started to be revealed over the last few chapters, so it'll pick up in that regard any time now.
