If you need someone to out Eidolonic, I can do it. I can work sometimes better as a replacement or have fun with it. Plus, I'm more use to only having a 72 hour day 1, not also a 72 hour day 2. So I'd probably be much more happier joining in on the 48 hour days or what not.

I guess what I also mean to say is that I had a family member die today. I might be moody if I stay in the game to play. This is the 8th death I've gone through in the last 4 years. I think a lot of times I'm just feel numb for most of it. But yeah, if you need someone to drop. I can easily fill that role.

Oh I didn't even realize the setup was all vanilla. This makes a lot of sense.

And out of the 3 setups, mountainous wasn't particularly my favorite, though I can't actually say for sure if I've played it or not.

I guess I'll take you up on that, owner.

My sympathies for the death in the family, and hope you and yours are okay.

I'm going to lock signups at 13 here.

Anyone else that wants to sign up can either be a replacement or an observer.

I'll start the process of making the QT's, and send them out later tonight, game will start tomorrow at 7pm PST/10pm EST.

    My condolences for your loss(es).

I remember that you were attending your uncle's funeral from HP mafia as well, so hope that you and your family are doing alright.

Does insularity of community make it difficult to win as scum because people understand your meta better or something?

    Oh shit.

Sorry Miner, I'm not quite sure how it happened but you dropped off the playerlist at some point. I think maybe I was re-arranging the order due to Vira dropping out and might have trimmed you then.

You get 100% first priority as a replacement, and sorry dude.

To answer your question - yeah insular communities tend to be town favored, because you can more accurately identify when someone is outside of their scum range, and do it pretty early on.

Being able to remove possible mislynches from scum teams as early as day one is really strong

There are ways to deal with that, such as making setups favor scum more, less mechanical info, etc, but it's just part of any mafia community that has consistent playerlists. You're going to get pretty comfortable with each other, and it'll be harder and harder to fool those players as scum.

Mimefia was great. The best. No game like it around. We need more Mimefia.

I'm about to run a Mimefia game on another site. And yes, I read the end of that game and still thought this was a good idea.

Which site? (Also, I was mildly spoofing Trump but I couldn't remember the rhetoric past the few bits I put in. I had a good time for what its worth with Mimefia though and would be down for a sequel at some point)

Needs to be refined, but I could run it again some day in some form.

Just certain scum teams have virtually no chance of winning from the opening randomization.

    My home site.

Could do with some more players, actually. Last game burnt out people more than I thought.

I now know what Qgqqqqq stands for. Still don't know what it means, but we will get there step by step.

Oh, it doesn't stand for that. That was a name someone gave me in mafia once.

There is a reference there, but it's painfully obscure. I only keep it on RB for nostalgia's sake.
