Can you explain why you dropped Vaimes from "more likely to be town" in #843 to what looks like a null-ish/LS, in the prefer to lynch group?

Vaimes: You didn't have a color on your Quiddity read (the votals/reads post). Can you elaborate on your thoughts on him?

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetleju-... Cobalt, hey, it's Sunday (night)!!

The Rubicon line is still nullish, but I'm willing to lynch in nullish. I was just saying I would prefer not to lynch Quiddity and fonti. It's Miner and you that I was scumreading, but I think my reads have changed since then.

Now everyone's mostly reading nullish to me tbh. Still think Zenzao is town. Will have to re-read and catch up.

Still, why did Vaimes drop from "more likely to be town" to nullish in your eyes?

Life has been more busy than I thought this week. My apologies, I've asked for a sub.

    Good luck town!

Tbh, it's not anything he did/I carefully analyzed. It's time passing/me not really remembering him anymore/my other reads changing around/other people calling him scummy so now I'm just reading him nullish. This may change once I do my re-read and catchup.

Also, definitely a bit of paranoia involved somewhere.

    1. My case is "these people who should be actively gamesolving and who tend to lurk as scum are lurking. Let's run them up. That's not really something you hard push or write walls about.
    2. Why are you skeptical of the Tom read?
    3. At what point did I think you could be town? I think you're more mafia than not, but that as town, you are useful, and giving you and a chance to demonstrate that usefulness. I'm underwhelmed at the moment.

    lol sorry :(

But also, I'm not sure Vaimes, HF, etc have put forth enough content for me to be able to really do anything much with their posts.

    +am losing motivation and confidence

I'll be around and everything, but I'm probably not going to try re-reading until tomorrow.

---------- Post automerged at 11:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:05 PM ----------

But also, is your Quiddity vote still based on your thing about him vote-hopping/trying to drag owner into the spotlight or whatever?

    Do you have any updates?

Much of mafia actually doesn't include 100% hard reasoning, not sure if your post reads towny or scummy to me.

---------- Post automerged at 11:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:09 PM ----------

Also, if anyone could answer this-
If HF was so widely townread last game, what is different about his play this game that's making people think he's towny here too?

---------- Post automerged at 11:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:13 PM ----------

*and not just a towny-seeming scum.

A better question is do you have any reason other than gut to townread him? How confident are you in that read?

My reasons are the things I've poked him about. His responses have been bad imo. (He doesn't remember Waco's wall? Please.)

You didn't say that, though. You said people should keep me around for a while and then lynch me.

If you believe I'm scum, surely you should be lynching me today - more so than a lurker like Cobalt.

If you think I'm town enough to keep alive, then you shouldn't be recommending people lynch me later.

I'm talking about /you/ there, not me. Shrugging you off means you get away with a weird line of attack, and I think that this is a garden path that should be walked.

    ---

Just because the read is more likely to be honest doesn't mean it's more likely to be right.

I'd ask you to sell me on font being town, but uh.

Actually I kind of want to see this.

    1. I've never read a mal game that I wasn't in, besides Secret Hitler, and even then I got bored and stopped reading.

    2. I can't tell if you're trying to throw shade at me in a really weird/convoluted way or if this is just a random stray thought that shows no signs of going anywhere. Why did you bring this up?

    ---

Now this is probably the towniest post Miner has made this game. It would be easy to push on me or Cobalt here, and kinda/sorta not really pushing either of us is the harder option. On the other hand, he did votepark fluff D1, so eh.

    ---

I literally do not know how to read Q.

Some people have noticeable things they do that make reading them easier (Zenzao being a good example), and with Q I always come away from every game with a completely blank slate. If you lined up some posts from his towngame and some posts from his scumgame, I'd probably just flip a coin.

I usually just leave him to get sorted out and hope I never end up in endgame with him. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Kinda weirds me out when people wagon him because I usually never can follow the case on him.

    ---

    o/

    sorry to see you go

I'm disappointed that Vaimes is probably mafia. Why can't all the people I like being town with always be town? :\
Lyric, will dive into that tonight or tomorrow morning.

This whole convo gave me deja vu, so I went and looked at some of your posts from WH6, and we literally had this exact same exchange... and well, you were scum and I was town. Doesn't exactly make me feel better about you. Not sure if it's an actual scumtell per se, but...

Also, I think I keep reading Rubicon townier and townier these past couple posts.

He's pushing people, and I basically completely agree with a lot of his points.

    The Waco Kid

Wait, I thought about it some more, and now I'm even more confused. I just read your ISO, and some of your reads definitely contained non-hard reasoning too (when you said you were light scumreading Cobalt out of paranoia, for example). Also, you were nullreading Vaimes the last time you said anything about him, so why that line of questioning and response to my gut downgrade of Vaimes ("So basically no hard reasoning...")? I'd understand if you were townreading Vaimes and trying to get town to not lynch him or something like that by pointing out the lack of reasoning, but in this context, I don't know what you were going for. It looks more like discrediting than anything, actually.
