There is a lot more town money than scum money. If we make them blow all of their money to pick up 3 powerful scum roles, we can win all of the powerful town roles. If they try to block us off of powerful town roles, we can block them off powerful scum roles. People shouldn't throw 500 bids like candy, but big ticket items should absolutely have 500 bids on them by EOD.

Alright, so let's keep going. Why? What would you get from that? Let's say your top town read is everyone's top town read - then what? You just neighborize your #2?

Yeah, probably. I mean, it'd be start D2 if I won it today. Having a private chat to townfirm someone that early seems real valuable to me.

Agreed. By simple defintion there should be town money left late, barring some bad luck. Kinda makes sense to force scum to stretch and make hard choices since they have less.

    Vote: Typhon.

I don't think I like a single one of your five or so posts. Neighbourize Newcomb or Font? Are you insane? Not only are they hard to read, but they out of everyone here could and would lie 24/7 in a QT if they were scum.

I just don't get you at all.

Heh, as nice as that sounds, I was kinda (lol, that's one way of saying that) shitty my last game here, and replaced out of an off-site game in a way that hurt town pretty terribly, so I have a chip on my shoulder coming into this one. My head is much closer to this than Mr. Rogers at the moment.

Yup. My expectation of Vira is that she would be less eager to suggest that arguably anti-town strategy as mafia.

(Suggesting doctor isn't a top-tier priority for D1 is not much different.)

Neighborizing fontisian or Newcomb makes a ton of sense, assuming I feel decent about their towniness (sure, given track record this probably indicates Newcomb - I think I can read him passable, and I typically can't read fonti, but anything can happen).

On one level it's good because they get to toss me the reads they're sitting on for <insert reasons> and I can share them if they eat an untimely nightkill without showing their cards. And the opposite.

On a second level, it's good because I'm remarkably more effective with a good player to bounce reads with, and I suspect they're the same. Whether they feel like I qualify is, I suspect, debatable, but if like to think that I've proven to be passable when I'm not super tilted. I will not tilt in this game, so that should be that.

Who would you neighborize, out of curiosity?

We need to get the protective and info roles out early to force scum to let us have them or drain them of money for roles they can't use that well.

Ehh. Smells like "too scum to be scum", which is... not usually true?

To be clear, I think it's just an NAI mechanical mistake, but your reasoning is a little skeevy. Anybody else striking you as towny/scummy so far?

Waco or Rubicon. Depends how likely one will eat the N1 night kill.

Is that based on how well you think you can read them, or on content so far?

To be curious, fontisian, are you saying that you would increase the odds of Doctor, Cop, Daykill, Jailkeeper?

It's an opportunity to get additional checks on someone, see if they're consistent in thread and there all day. I imagine me and my neighbour would also share more then one does ITT.

There is no connection at all between what I said and "too scum to be scum."

I have a gut scumread on Jarizok, that's about it right now.
