Ehh. Like, my Waco townread/mindmeld is stronger than my Rubicon scum read, so it doesn't discourage that, if that's what you're getting at?

Really, the only thing of note in the scum Rubicon column for me is the Vira thing from early, I think. I haven't forgotten it, but that's not exactly a slam dunk case and he handled it (the pressure) fairly well. Other than that his play has been solid if nullish.

DLP mafia has Eido laughing half the time and crying/drinking the other half. With the occasional nod of approval.

Seriously though, compare tom's tone this game and last game with last WH and AYAW 4. He's about as active, but he's not pulling anything, not putting himself out there. He's just not as spicy allround. He said that it was because of all the mechanics so far, but I'm not so sure.

Mm. It seemed somewhat opportunistic at first given your and his reads on him. But he's also leaning town on both of you iirc so there's that.

Is there some scum benefit to electing people who want you lynched?

It makes it less suspicious if they die get NKed? Now, instead of someone dieing because they were scumreading you, they died because they're market owner.

Can't think of anything beyond that.

The same benefit any scum player gets from being reasonable with his accusers? Being elected has blno practical effect on them being lynched, its not like this is a Mayor double vote.

    Fast reread.

To actually support waco I would need his opinion on the matter of abilities which he has not said yet.

Outside of that he feels town. I like his attitude and style this game.

I dislike that he asked me about Newcomb, and after I gave a fairly long winded anwser he just said :
Like he asked me on my opinion and his reaction is just "noted".

I know that he managed to fool me in a witchhunt on d1 as scum and only fell short that game because he lost power to a snowstorm.

I can see him making a powerplay as deep scum to get the market owner title.
That game scared me enough to be warry on reading waco on "feels" alone.

I am unsure if Waco has mentioned me this many times in any games we played before. I am unsure what that means.

What benefit is that, in your view?

---------- Post automerged at 12:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:42 PM ----------

    That was Koalas.

    "Strongly." Why?

---------- Post automerged at 12:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:42 PM ----------

This is a good point. Please don't Garcia questions, though. I asked Koalas to see what he would come up with.

    Forgot the miner part.

I mentioned some of it before. Toms read on miner isn't bad either.

There are several soft townreads on miner for his gimmick and mine is a mixture of most of them at this point.

I will need more of him, but he is a townlean and i am just less paranoid on him compared to waco.

Most of my reads this game are somewhat meta reads on how I expect or don't expect people to behave as either alignments.
Not sure how good that is .. but it does not feel bad.

Those are my main reads on you jari and miner all townreads.

Maybe even Vira in a way.

Is this a genuine question for basic scum play theory?

---------- Post automerged at 05:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:23 PM ----------

Bit of a joking phrase based on tom's 308.

Alright, cool, thanks for the thoughts. To your last point, I'm a bit off-balance too, because I don't think I've ever particularly seen eye to eye with you guys before, but here we are. Kind of a weird game all around, I think :p

I'll admit I'm less sold on his towniness than yours, but only slightly so. He's closer to my position than you are in most places, although I feel like I have a little less handle on how he got there in most cases than I do on you? Idk if that makes sense. I'm quibbling a bit on committing to hard townreading him in the way I am you, in any case, but I'm convinced enough to vote him for owner.

Assuming we establish a plan to stick to, of course, but I figured we'd iron that out no matter who the owner sometime in the next RL day or so.

I think Rubicon has done a fine job explaining himself. But basically, Vira didn't do a thing that was too scummy to be scum. She said a thing that scum might think but not say in thread. It's a pretty major difference.

So you made this Rubicon push and you don't want to glean anything from peoples' reactions to it? Is that right?

    ---------- Post automerged at 13:17 ---------- Previous post was at 13:17 ----------

Oh right. And I totally bought it. My bad.

Why is Koalas so high on your list? Assuming its more than the mindmeld wrt Typh (admittedly, I thought it was well put as well)
