    You just wanted post 600.

Anyways, I'm off work now, I'll be home in 30 and then we can storm all the way to day end.

my circle of awesome people (in no order) right now is :

    Typhon
    Vira
    Rubicon
    Jarizok

    Good start.

I think Waco and Newcomb can come and hangout with us from time to time, but I am not willing to invite them to live here just yet.

5 townreads with only 10 players that are actually playing the game feels good.

I mean, your #2 and #3 scum reads are no content players and you're talking about policy lynching so I assumed that was tomorrow. Since your vote is still on me for today's lynch.

Also, let's assume a different interpretation. Let's assume that you don't get me, and you're talking about a policy lynch on a no content as like your number 2 choice if no one will help you lynch me. In that world, how on earth is a policy lynch going to give you the context you need to solve the nulls that you're unwilling to try and work through now?

Mmm. I think there's a fair chance that there's scum in your circle, but I'm okay with just killing Koalas today so that sounds like a conversation for tomorrow.

Yes you dislike Jari, I know.

I am fairly set on that read, I think.

I think there is a very very good chance that there are 2-3 scum outside of the 7 people i mentioned.

You guys have no idea how frustrating this game is for me.

I wanted to try something new this game. Usually when I'm deciding to ISO players I just move down the player list, which gets frustrating after a while, especially if the list is top heavy content wise. Then I read in a qt (either New or Eido can't remember which) about handling D1 issues. Specifically the nulls/what are they doing crowd.

It was essentially when you have a good player giving you a big null don't break your brain trying to figure them out. Start with player you can read well/are easily read. Start there and progress. Which I know sounds simple and obvious but Day 1 is.. not my strong suit.

So those three were ones I had on my list since pretty much D1 start. Didn't want to mention it as 'hurr durr I so good at reading these people' but then D1 got to where it's at content wise and what can you do.

They were also decent for the bouncing ideas with Typhon as there were two easy ISO's we could calibrate with and a third (Vira) worth talking about. We had very different ideas on bouncing ideas.

My current walls is roughly this.
    Jan

    Vira, Newcomb, Jarizok
tom, Rubicon, The Waco Kid, miner
    Fontisian, Cobalt, his fluffiness

With Typhon being on his own little island that I'll need N1 to properly place him.

I mean, I do, but I'm not dead set on it being him - it's most likely him imo but not definitely him. I'd be fairly surprised if one of the three isn't scum though.

Jan, what changed with your Miner and Waco reads re: your most recent towncircle post?

    Fonti and fluff not w/w.

Weak read, but I dont think fluff does this ...

... to a partner. Less sure if said weakness was brought up by someone else before, but I am not sure that happened.

And fonti is more likely to be a wolf between the two, but you already knew that.

    Disagree on Rubicon.

Other than that, more or less fine with this. Although I would put Newcomb higher in my towncircle.

I'm not sure where it should go yet so I haven't moved it?

Policy lynch, by your own reckoning, has at least a 1/3 chance of hitting scum. Even if it didn't there are reactions TO the no contents. As well as the NK. And the auction.

Waco is mostly gut town without any reason. He feels good .. but I don't have a single post that I would say "yes that is town waco".

Add to that the fact that he has burned me before on d1.
The witchhunt he rolled scum with LochNess and Von/Vaimes.
He was one of my toptownreads d1 and only got unlucky because he could not post in the 2nd half of the day due to a snowstorm in his area.

I am not optimistic enough on reading him because of that.

Miner .. I thought his gimmick thing might have been towny .. but I think he could be with either fonti or tom who told them to try it out pregame or something.
He stopped it half way through the day for no actually good reason, and I don't remember getting anything overwhelmingly good afterwards.

If fonti is mafia then I think his refusual to vote her when I poked him about the matter is .. odd. Not sure where to put it. (on the one hand losing a teammate d1 in this setup is the worst for scum, because of the money loss. But on the other hand saying no to that too some kind of balls considering fonti has not played the game and all and is basically dead weight)

I am somewhat split on either of them. I have not reread waco yet because I am just that unsure on reading him in general.

Agree to disagree. Policy lynching inactive players is not a useful D1 lynch.

Rubicon just got added today after rereading him.

I like his questions and progression this game.
He said things to several people that I don't think he is likely to say to a partner which puts him in very few mafia circles.

Like .. there were a lot of things he asked or said that I was able to just nod along and agree with.

It's not something I want to make a habit of. There's a reason its called a policy lynch. Outside of that its still 1/3 of hitting scum. Which is at least as good as the pool you're currently working out of. And infinitely better then where your vote currently is.

Why do you think it's a 1/3 chance of hitting scum?

And I mean, I disagree with your phrasing, but that's pedantic and irrelevant.

I'm not super following this line but I don't get the 1/3 thing. Do you have some reason to think there's one and only one between fonti/fluff/Cobalt?

That would be the moment I decided tom was maf. I checked him immediately after he said Vira was probably town to gouge his reaction.

Also no matter what people think about unaligmant reads, we can all agree that there are zero worlds where Typhon and Koalas started this game knowingly on the same team and have played D1 like this, right? Right.
