Hi I'm back.

I dislike the fact that fluff has no real scumreads.

 

I'm going to force myself to go through this at some point, but I just... am having a really hard time finding the motivation? I so wish I had dayvig, where I could just shoot Rubicon and we could move on to Waco (or else I'd be checked by my wrongness and we could murderize Koalas, but I really don't think that's a thing.) The game just feels super solved to me right now - maybe that's the wrong word. It feels an awful lot like I've done all I can without a flip.

That's not entirely true - there are a few things I want to look back over after I have a little distance, and I really really want to see stuff from/talk to both Cobalt and fonti to make sure I didn't goof in my assessments there, but yeah. I'll be around, but /way/ less hover-y than I was D1.

If it seems I've forgotten something I said I'd do or especially you're interested in killing the witch and would like to know how you could help, ping me or something.

I already did last night.

That, combined with my most recent post, which says double checking my sort of loose and fast probabilistic read is one of the things I do actually want to do today, is pretty much it.

I can expound on that when I'm not phone posting, but that's really it. It's less that Cobalt or fonti are eliminated as options, and more that I just think from the way everything shook out they're not people I'm super concerned with until I see more from them. I'm going to be a salty motherfucker if they no show again, but I don't think that's going to be the case (if it is, I think they'll be replaced).

The question was about the Tom part. What about how Tom approached Cobalt makes you think he's town?

If tom was interacting with a partner (ie distancing), I think he'd have led that wagon? The three spot is much more indicative of scum trying to push a mislynch but not wanting to face the backlash when the flip happens. Like, the votes were kinda dumb in general imo, because it felt like NAI Cobalt... abraisiveness? Sass? However you want to say that.

I think the way tom backed off makes Cobalt more likely town, not less. Or maybe it'd be better to say that I don't think it's convincingly anything? I don't trust much that comes out of tom spew. What I do trust is that scum!tom was playing to his win conditions, and he knew he had to keep that Cobalt option open because I'm pretty sure he knew that he had to have that mislynch, but also that it was going to look shitty if he tunneled some inactive guy. So he had to somehow explain why he wasn't still voting him but was still going to come back to him, and the result (I think) was that waffle.

But that sort of loops back around into lol!tom spew?

So yeah. It's exactly what I said it was - a sort of fast and loose probabilistic read. It's the equivalent of a sort of meta gut read. It's absolutely something I wouldn't bet the game on, but luckily I have all day to figure Coballt out so that's okay. I'll talk to him and see how he looks then.

I'm honestly just annoyed that the role I got was a complete waste and am losing motivation to play.

honestly I wasn't really that hype about being VT I just said that cuz Jan was badgering me about it and I didn't wanna look scummy :/

and given that the entire point of this game is to buy stuff and use it, to successfully buy something and use it and have it go completely to waste is pretty demotivating tbh.

 

Cobalt, in the least dickish way imaginable, if you're not feeling motivated to step up and really dig into this and you don't think you can force yourself through it, maybe consider replacing out?

Like, I totally get town!Cobalt spending money to do a thing, then losing that and that being a super shitty demotivational thing for something thats already a slog (reading ~900 posts and making your presence felt D2). I'm not being nasty, or at least I don't mean to be. But if you are town, you're going to end up being a mislynch if you're low activity throughout.

That's not a big deal if I'm right about the team being tom/Rubicon/Waco, but is a big deal if it's not and we're having to try and lynch through the POE.

 

Kind of agree with this point by Newcomb.

It's actually kind of pissing me off that half the player list is just lurking the day away.

Cobalt, fontisian, fluffiness, Vira, Koalas. Even Jan is starting to coast a little on being a popular townread.

Add in Typhon being a derp and Waco replacing out and you have one hell of a depressing D2.

 

I am around. Just playing 2 games at the same time and this dayphase is 2,5 times as long. (now 10 times because it went down to 12/12 cycles).

At to that the fact that I was ill before and at home and have been working again yesterday and will today.

I didn't want to replace in this game in the first place (just needed something to blackmail Regfan with later), so I won't have time to do anything significant with the game until Monday. Until then, I won't be reading back and I probably won't be posting my usual walls of analysis but I will be contributing in every way possible until then.
