Ignore thy neighbor's wife is a pretty important rule in this town.

And trackers are just girlscouts without cookies anyway. No one needs those.

I think so but that is such a fringe world.
Jan ask me something. Anything. My brain's tires are spinning on the whole Rubicon flip.

When someone says someone is >EV town, they mean they're leaning town on them right?

(Sorry, I never did get the hang of the > < things and have never seen it said this way before.)

I mean from context yes it suggests yes, but just want to make sure because I was reading it the opposite at first.

The Typhon post? I think that's what he meant, yeah. More likely town.

I am mostly drawing blanks right now.

I could ask you where you bid your remaining 301$ on, but people would just think it is tmi.

Like - I hate that the thread is so slow at the moment, but we are still waiting for the 2 subs to catch up and post and there is only so much to talk about.

It does technically not make sense. You can talk about a play being +/- EV for an alignment, but someone is not >EV town.

Unless it does not come from "Embedded Value" which I always thought it would.

I would assume he meant to say it makes him more likely town and wanted to seem smart about it.

The doctor should claim today if they are under suspicion at all.

I realize no one is going to listen to me, but yeah.

If the doctor is likely to die around EoD then they should claim, yes.

A confirmed clear in the group of {Tammy, Nacho, Koalas} is probably the difference between town win and town loss in LyLo tomorrow.

Arguably, it is useful clarity outside that group too - but you have to balance the benefit versus mafia having extra info about people's bids.

    oh

    9 alive

    D3: 7v2
    D4: 5v2
    D5: 3v2

I guess we get one more lynch than I thought.

That makes me feel a lot better about the game.

I am still mostly in favor of the doc claiming.
There is too much damn confusion in this game.

Heh. I was being an idiot, if you want the truth. I kinda thought EV was short for even, and so I was saying >rand town (more likely town than than the flat odds).

That is not what EV means, as Jan points out, so it didn't make sense. The post was just me saying that I thought Vira was more slightly more likely town than scum for that, iirc.

---------- Post automerged at 02:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:23 PM ----------

Just a prod to say it doesn't make a ton of sense that only 3 people have voted! Not hovering over the game anymore, but come on guys.

In a game with no hammers and no majority lynch, what's the point.

Well, there's his whole "I've got these teams that I'm worldbuilding, but no one should know who they are" thing he's got going. There's also his looking at people who are clearly not scum.

    Nutritious.

I'm only a quarter of the way through, but I need to take a break and come back. Hopefully now that I'm getting a hang of the names/avatars reading will start to go a bit quicker though I'm pretty much the slowest reader ever.

At the point I'm at I feel the best about Jan and Typhon, Jan moreso than Typhon. Jan though hits one of my biggest weaknesses in mafia in that I just like his posts. He's a bit humorous at times and anytime someone makes me laugh I automatically want to town read them. But I did like the way he got kinda stuck on the meme that Newcomb posted and what it all meant and if it jived with his big wall post. Typhon I mostly liked the way he lamented not having anyone to talk to about the game. I mean sure anyone could say that, but it's something that I look for and need in a game and when it's missing I don't feel solid, so I liked that as well as the ensuing discussion between Jan and Typhon.

Not much of a fan of the kolas? and someone else going after Typhon for being overexplainy and calling that a scum tell. I know one did the first and the other did the next. Being wordy is a personality tell, not a scum tell, but it's a really easy thing to go after and claim in a scum tell and it's a really good way to discredit people's thoughts by complaining about that and not actually engaging with the read. I don't think that both are scum though, so this is something that I want to look back at and see how it develops.

Will continue reading in a bit.

Jan - what didn't you like about Font's mechanics proposition?

Also for anyone how do you iso here? I saw where you can read more posts by someone but that brings up all the threads they've posted in. Also thank you for the >EV answer.
