Rubicon, dude, sorry if you're actually town, and kudos for the effort if you're scum - I don't think I could have "worked" nearly so long. I can't promise that I'll put your work to use if you townflip, because I think I die here, but if I live then I'll will consider what you've said. Hopefully it will not go to waste regardless. Please bid 500 on hitman.

To everyone else, I still think Rubicon is scum more than anyone else in the game and so I'm still only really interested in that lynch, although I'll admit that I've wavered in my confidence a couple times on that. I like that Koalas is the counterwagon, i think, because that mames it even more stark - kinda think there's one in that pair.

Ultimately, though, if I'm not shot then I'm never going to be able to put Rubicon out of my mind if we don't lynch him here. Equally and less me focused, I think he's sort of the hinge the game swings on. If Rubicon scumflips, there is one group of suspects. If he doesn't, there is another. I don't think there's anyone else in the game that that's the case for, at least not to that degree.

Just realized how close the wagons are.

This is actually kinda perfect. In a 5-4 world and a pairing that I'm pretty certain has exactly one scum in it, the partner is 1000% of the time on the wagon not on his scumbuddy.

So scum!Rubicon's partner is Nacho>Tammy>=Jan, and scum Koalas' partner is... Jarizok>=Fluff?

Sorry if you are town, but no one has come forward to clear you today, which emans the auction detective was either stupid by not checking you last night or you are just scum (or neither of those roles are in towns hands, which is unlikely).

Because why would the partner bus? If that was the plan, Rubicon would have rolled over before now, not openly, but if the plan was for him to die i have to believe he'd have run out of steam by now. Like, think about it from a partner perspective - Rubicon has almost wriggled out of lynch right here again after I've been calling for his head for a RL week, and I think I'm the most townread player in the game. It would be self-defeating to bus a guy who managed to convince town to lynch freaking Cobalt yesterday when he might managed to pull one more mislynch out of his ass here before he goes down. Sure, bussing might keep you from being tied together, but equally it might tie you together. All things considered, I think you just play to wincon here and just hope town fakes themselves out looking for something that isn't there.

Beyond the sort of broad theory, though, I think, given how yesterday went and the resistance to this lynch in general, there's a very large chance that the final scum is fighting it.

 

Look at when those votes were placed.

Every single Koalas vote happened in the last 8 hours.

My vote was for fun and see reactions, the other votes happened way later.

A partner voting Koalas when the people voting Rubicon are that set in stone would just be really weird and odd.

Not saying they can't be on Koalas, but I don't think your logic is sound.

In my defense Jan, I am extraordinarily freaking obviously town and Koalas is very scummy. It's not a crazy assumption that people would realize that eventually. At least a few people have.

I won't get Dayvig if he is town (because that might end the game early if we fuck up).

 

I think it's super unlikely that town Rubicon bids 500 on the tracker and the cop in back to back days when he was likely to die (especially tracker today, because lol, that's some motherfucking optimism).

I guess we'll see in 5 though.
