    So, from that pic: blue is Tesseract (Power, as I recall), green is Eye of Agamotto (Time), yellow is Vision's forehead (Mind), gooey red is Aether from Thor 2 (Space?), purple is from GOTG (beats me) and solid red we haven't seen yet.

    Does that mean that Vision is gonna die, or would Thanos completing the Gauntlet be irreversible Game Over and plot of Infinity War will be stopping Thanos from getting the stones rather fighting him when he has them?

    Tesseract = Space
    Eye = Time
    Vision = Mind
    Aether = Reality
    GotG Orb = Power

    The one we're missing is the Soul stone, but I'd imagine that'll show up in either GotG 2 or Thor Ragnarok.

    Just got back from Free Fire, which might be my favourite film of the year so far. It strips away all but the absolute narrative necessities in favour of a potent mix of testosterone, anger management issues, pride, greed, flippant remarks and a whole lot of guns. It's a thing of beauty.

    Really loving that they just completely ripped off Xena's everything for this reboot WW.

    Went to see Ghost in the Shell. Looked stunning, but overall the definition of 'so OK it's average'. Nothing really wrong with it, but nothing special either. I just never really felt engaged with it. Still, there are worse ways to spend a couple of hours.

    The plot was just too bland. But I have that problem with a lot of japanese concepts and I may be incompatible with their way of telling stories.

    While that's certainly possible and I don't want to discount your own experiences, the recent GitS movie is not a good representation of either Japanese media (which varies as widely as any other source of such) or the original material. The scriptwriter/director seems to have taken only the basest and most shallow elements of character, story, location, and similar from the original work then injected an original, unrelated, and cliche typical revenge plot into it.

    Just got back from Fate of the Furious.

    As with previous installments, I liked this one and I have nothing negative to say about it.

    I recommend it and that's that.

    One of the things that really put me off the Wonder Woman movie includes (but is not limited to) the fucking mix of swords and guns. I've never seen a movie pull off combat between melee weapons of this kind and guns without making it seem like a massive waste of potential on both sides.

    Watching the most recent trailer made me realize this.

    Man, Guardians vol 2 was fucking great. Drax is just as hilarious and Baby Groot is the most adorable.

    As with the first, I was kinda 'meh, whatever' with the plot. The movie's strong suits are the characters and visuals, it knows it, and it leans into it hard.

    This is an adaptation from the Mitch Rapp series written by Vince Flynn. If you've read the book, the beginning deviates a bit with his past, but it appears to head towards the same outcome after that.

    I had no idea this was in the works but I'm on board. I'm a big Dylan O'brien fan, plus Michael Keaton is continuing his resurgence.

    Yeah, it's pretty hard to mix swords and guns without having a very good handwave for why guns don't have an overwhelming advantage. Even with Amazons being good at deflecting bullets with their bracers, you'd think a proper machine gun would spit out enough bullets to overwhelm their ability to block. Then there's artillery, which was the big killed in World War I and obviously couldn't be blocked.

    Of course, melee tends to be popular in movies because it's a lot easier to make it intense and dynamic than two people in cover taking potshots at each other until one of them gets a good hit. I just want some kind of justification for why melee is happening when guns are a thing.

    So excited to see a sequel. Surprisingly, I don' think I'll mind Channing Tatum in this movie.

    The Statesman are named after alcohols. Jeff Bridges' character is Champagne. This is great.

    And the Jurassic World sequel just got roughly seven times more exciting!

    I'm gonna go see Guardians of the Galaxy 2 this weekend, but I'd like to remind everyone here that this movie has FIVE post-credits scenes.

    Five. Holy kek, is this peak cape-kino?
