Just for those people that like to watch. Last Seasons Wildcard game was a lot of fun.

 

Update on The Mafia Championship

Exciting news: We are expanding to 150 participating communities, which is more than last season. In fact, we may even go for 165 communities depending on how some invitations go.

Since none of the representatives chosen at this point have indicated that they can only play if their game starts April 24, I have made the decision that the qualifying phase won't begin until May 1st in order to allow me more time to get everything properly organized and to get all representatives properly prepared. This will have no impact on the overall schedule for this season; the qualifying phase will still be wrapped up by early July, after which we dive into the wildcard games followed by the finale game.

Finally, to communities that haven't elected a representative yet: Remember that your deadline for electing a representative is April 23.

I found it when I was scouting ppl in my champs game last year.

 

Eido, will you be hosting the upcoming WH yourself or is host-ship up for grabs?

 

If he's alive past N1 he's scum.

 

1. Is it Day Four yet? If yes, proceed to step three. If no, proceed to step two.
2. Assume Eido is town, because he's always town. Wait for day four to arrive, and lynch his scum reads. If he's scum, they will all be scum anyways.

3. It is now Day Four. Check the dead playerlist. Is Eido there? If yes, proceed to step four. If no, proceed to step five.
4. Eido was town. Keep lynching his scumreads, enjoy win.

5. Pray a cop reveals with a guilty on Eido, or that Eido has a claim that unilaterally makes him town.
6. Accept that he's already won if he's scum and there's no guilty, and carry on assuming he's town.

7. Follow flow chart, win 90% of games.

 

Give me a day or two to decide on this. Pretty busy right now, might at the very least need a co mod who can handle stuff like vote counts/monitoring thread/QT's.

 

I was considering playing but I would be happy to do this to help get things rolling.

So what are turbo games anyway? And can we run them here or does it only work with the automated host?

 

A turbo game is a very short game (whole game takes somewhere around an hour) in which everyone playing remains online for the duration of it. They are difficult but not impossible for humans to mod.

The closest equivalent to a turbo game that I'm aware of this community having done is playing IRC mafia with an automated host.
