If we have to have a claim then Oracle claim WITHOUT the Oracle revealing their clear is the way to go.

Having both Oracle and Watchman claim to be 'Oracle or Watchman' may be most optimal claim for a few reasons, though I'm unconvinced that any claiming is necessary right now.

Delphine, I realy hope this is just a pregame gimmick because I enough trouble reading you confidently as is, you throwing on top something that makes your posts much harder to read and more frustrating to slug through isn't going to help in the slightest.

I've noticed mafia are generally very vunerable inside the early game since there's no pre-established topics of discussion or reads for them to insert them inside which means they've got to craft their own posts without any real direction with the intention of it not looking badly for them. Means there's often a lot of early alignment indicative posting and think people often look past it too often particularly later in the game forgetting that D1 reads and thoughts are still important and relevant.

While we can't have "Claims" during the pregame, we're allowed to discuss optimal strategies to enact when D1 starts and getting that done now means we can focus more on pure scumhunting when D1 starts and this is a game where I want to see action wagons and votes, not EOD CFD's. I don't think "Narrowing down the priest" is a big enough of a concern to have the Oracle not claim here.

Run me through the logic behind having the Oracle claim but not reveal his clear -- this feels like something pretty suboptimal to me since either a) Oracle will softclaim his innocent somewhere inside his reads anyway and it'll be noticable or b) He won't softclaim his innocent which will lead towards him having a few awkward reads making it hard to sort if he does die, for a similar reason I'm unconvinced about the Watcherman/Oracle plan.

Ha, I've not actually started 'playing' yet really, I'm at work at the moment and won't be actually be in the right mindset to actually scumhunt and elaborate on reads properly while constantly having to minimise the window every time someone walks around.
