Vote analysis for the Miner wagon at the time of the claim:

Fonti started the wagon barely an hour into the game and was supposedly 90% sure.

This is the post that led to Fonti saying Miner was in fact a witch:

Enter the whole issue with Miner reacting differently to Fonti vs Newcomb.

Now that we know Miner is town, he's obviously not scum with either one of them. We can chalk it up as #justminerthings.

Fonti theorizes that Miner could be w/w with Newcomb for it. I imagine scum!Fonti would take any opportunity she could find to shade Newcomb. Fonti experts, is this reasonable suspicion from town!Fonti as well? I do think we can safely say Fonti/Newcomb not w/w for all this.

She keeps up the pressure on Miner when other people decide to wait for Miner to get back in the thread. I don't think I can read her scummier for it though, because I think town!Fonti would be confident in her read vs scum!Fonti just wanting to push the mislynch through. (426/439/451 and defending her ability to read Miner v Fable)

This post is towny in that scum!Fonti doesn't have any reason to want Miner to step up before dieing. It's debatable how likely saying that is to have any effect on Miner though. If scum!Font thought Miner wouldn't pick his game up regardless than she'd throw this out there for towncred.

I'd really like people's opinion on this.

Also, fontisian, when you still thought Miner was scum, who did you think his teammates were?

Fair and I'll look into that again but is that worse than rubicon quietly sneaking onto your wagon when pressure started to shift away from me? I really don't think he's done much in the way of solving and all of rubicon's votes look opportunistic to me.

Also, I really would like someone (preferably not someone I want to lynch right now) to explain their Vaimes townread.

Jarizok Thanks for my own hashtag.

But more seriously, I one hundred percent believe that fonti would never believe that she could actually push a mislynch through on town!newcomb.

Because, like, it's way too easy for town!Newcomb to simultaneously townfirm himself as well as call out fonti for trying to shove a mislynch at him.

Also, I don't think that fonti, myself, or anybody else in the thread really expected that "Bro get your shit together" post to actually make a difference.

I agree that this is quite a bit different from scummy, but town!Rubicon that I've seen in the past two games, but at this point I wouldn't say that it's convincing enough for me to shove a lynch at him. Yet.

I... don't see how this one is at all related to me.

This was before owner became a second wagon/you started wanting to lynch her, I believe.

In any case, this was before I returned, so essentially you're kind of just... rehashing what everyone else has said already.

---------- Post automerged at 08:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:02 AM ----------

    Sorry, correction.

    "before you started pressuring her."

The first is about owner. Pay attention.

The second is before you returned. It was in response to Reg pressing me to articulate thoughts on you. So no shit it was a rehash, you didn't have content.

    Uhm. Fine, I'll reword.

Show me a point where you've talked about me since I've returned and would've become the d1 lynch if not for Delphine's claim. I feel as though town would be more inclined to talk about the actual lynch instead of the "other wagon that probably won't be the lynch", no?

I dropped 930 then went to bed. I woke up to Delphine's claim. To reword, show me a point where I was in thread and ready to respond after you returned

Votal analysis for the Miner wagon at the time of the claim:

Reg votes Miner in 540, after his case that he agreed with Newcomb on, in short "I don't think it's suspicious that Miner interacted and joked around with Fonti early on but the way and tone that he did so was what felt forced like he's trying to replicate how he'd naturally do it" in 515.

Reg actually stays away from the whole Miner situation early. He's pretty focused on his mechanics, with a little bit of fluff on the side. The above quoted reasoning on Miner being scum is first brought up in 216, but it doesn't actually match:

"...I don't have the same huge concern a lot of people do about Miners response to Fonti inside Post #23 and find the reaction rather null but found his overeaction towards Newcomb statement inside Post #77 combined with the sheer amount of fluff posting that followed it to fit his scum meta far more than his town meta..."

So at first Reg says Miner's tone in the reaction to Fonti was rather null, but later he says that the way and tone Miner interacted with Fonti felt forced.

I thought it was mostly Fonti who kept the Miner case going once he stopped posting, but I guess I was wrong. It fits for Reg to wait and really hash the case out before his vote on Miner in 540, but it's also convenient for scum to be relatively sure you've got threadflow at your back before throwing that vote down. He does let it go afterwards, until Miner gets back.

He pushed the case home here with nothing particular alignment indicative. Most of the case is just true because Miner's been pretty off with his posts, claiming his own meta and shit. I did notice a bit of Reg/Cobalt interaction and that last sentence would fit with that.

I think fluff/cobalt/reg is a decent guess if Reg is scum here, but he really doesn't fit with Owner.

Question to the thread: How do we feel about running up Reg against Owner? I think we'd get a lot of information from it about possible alignments.

    ---------- Post automerged at 14:31 ---------- Previous post was at 14:30 ----------

Cobalt's case is easy: she sheeped onto Miner hella cheap.

I'm off work now, will be home in a bit for Rubi and Vira.

You're gonna have to be a bit more convincing than "let's find out what would happen if we wagon regfan with 12 hours to go".

Miner: Kalas focusing on people with content/not instantly responding is scummy.

Kalas: I wasn't in thread. And you're cleared.

    Miner: But you didn't respond.

    Kalas: I wasn't in thread.

Miner: Well how was I supposed to know that?

Kalas: The same way you 'knew' I wasn't responding?

    Miner: .... Shut up.

    Pointless.
Chances of Reg dying there are about 5% from the get go.

Add tot hat that their hourlong spout about baiscally nothing makes the likely unaligned.

Owner is almost always dying there.

If she is town then scum have every excuse to vote her.
If they are both town then Reg looks terrible for her flipping town and likely to die just for vote analysis reasons etc.
If she is scum then the counterwagon is pointless because she is likely to get bussed.

If you want a second wagon, pick someone who might actually die and/or give you any sort of information.

The fact that they're unaligned to me was exactly the point.

If you force people to have their votes on either Owner or Reg, they're committing to worlds.

Take Kai voting me for example. Unless he thinks I'm scum proposing we counterwagon Scum!Reg to Scum!Owner, I'm more likely to be aligned with one over the other.

If we don't have a counterwagon, he can just leave his vote on me tomorrow and not reconsider anything. This adds no useful discussion, he doesn't have to justify anything. Because he's not worldbuilding, just voting his most likely scumread.

If we agree that everyone either vote Owner or Reg, and his only read is that I'm scum, you force him to think about if I'm likely to be scum with one of them. If we get the flip tomorrow, that would either give him ammunition to railroad me next, or it would give cause for consideration.

This approach means people are more accountable for their votes and less likely to just tunnel and ignore the thread.

I agree that Owner is almost always dieing here tonight. I wouldn't be voting Reg myself. But having people without a strong case for getting their preferred target lynched voting on someone with a wagon that might actually go somewhere is always preferable in light of discussion and accountability for the next day.

    ---------- Post automerged at 15:16 ---------- Previous post was at 15:14 ----------

Anyways Jan, if you think Owner is always dieing here tonight, do you not care about my deconstructing the Miner wagon either?

    ---------- Post automerged at 15:20 ---------- Previous post was at 15:16 ----------

Would Mal be proud of me right now of did I completely butcher Votal analysis?

That's the thing though. You may be thinking those things.

    Or you may not be.

If we do it this way, those thoughts of yours will be clearer to everyone.
