Of course it does, do you honestly believe he'll listen to these arguments and re-instate Vash? He obviously made the decision based on valid concerns and reacted accordingly, get over it. It isn't like Vash was banned. Like I said before... any argument towards the Admin's decision is pointless.

 

Im gonna say this. Its their site they can do whatever the hell they want with it. And that yeah it has changed a fair bit. I personally think it should go back to the old days. I liked it when someone made a bs post and got banned.(Im a example of this) it helped weed out those who learned and didnt. The site is way bigger than when I joined as well. And that has caused some problems

Raven's a passive sort most of the time, you wouldn't know he's mad until the hammer came down, so I'd suggest everyone either start speaking calmly, or just leave it be.

Wow. I check the boards after the weekend, and suddenly there's drama. While I have absolutely no idea why Vash and/or Sera were demoted, I figure I'll put in my support of them. If not as mods (which I withhold judgment on, since I dunno why they aren't anymore), which isn't always a cool job to have (I've been a mod, sometimes it sucks), then at least staying active in the DLP community. I saw Vash talking about leaving, and just want to point out that he's one of my favorite DLP authors, and the community would be poorer without him. It appears that a lot of our members feel the same way.

And that's my two cents.

As for the four or so other topics that have been covered in this thread . . . eh, no comment.

I find it good of Raven to reconsider his actions. The fact that he accepts that he made a mistake is good. Now he just has to act on it accordingly. Sadly, the initial mistake cannot be corrected.

I agree with Vash that DLP has changed, and I find myself in agreement with him about how I feel about it.

 

Raven and others have lot of pressure on them and they have to keep this forum best so let them handle it because i am sure everyone is satisfied with the administration.

He's still the guy who loves smut, writes it well and the same old Vash. The only thing that changed is his name is not in Orange and he can't ban people.

He's still the same old Vash without his admin position. It's not like his personality will dramatically change.

It's up to Zev and Raven on what goes on in this board. If they feel that Vash was not doing well as an admin and demoted him? So be it.

If they change their minds and re-instate him? So be it.

I'm just surprised that people are complaining when Vash himself has not changed besides the fact that his name is not in orange and he can't ban people.

Having calmed considerably since the events of the last few days, I've spent my day at work pondering my future actions. Looking back at my time here at DLP, there have been ups and downs. But no matter what happened, the atmosphere between members remained the same. Lately I've felt the magnetism of that atmosphere fading, through no fault of anyone within the staff.

I cant begin to express in words how truly disappointed in myself I am at my own immaturity. In posting without thought I became guilty of many of the things I perceive as wrong with the changes within our community. I would thusly like to offer my deepest and most heartfelt apologizes to not only Raven, but the entire population. I haven been stirring up trouble and placing blame where there was none for what I thought of as an unjust punishment.

Raven has, many times, given me his reasons, and I put too little thought into my words at the time and argued pointlessly. Upon reflecting, I don't deny that Raven's concerns are correct. My concern then and now, which I believe I failed to present understandably to anyone, is the method in which it was handed down.

I was informed, by someone I wont name for trust reasons, that they knew in Mid-December. If that is the case, why was I not sought out to correct this problem then? Regardless, arguing about it wont benefit anyone.

We all remember the site of old. We all, to some degree, want that back. And we can sit here and blame Raven, Mid, Zev, or all of the staff (Past and present) till we are blue in the face, but that won't change anything. The staff can't be expected to keep our community the same forever, given our size and growth, If we want our site of old back, we all have to make an effort. We all have to do our part to resurrect our site's former attitude.

And if I was willing to commit money and nearly 2 years to the site then, I see no reason not to commit the time to help recover what was lost.

Once last time, I would like to offer my sincerest apologize to everyone who was forced to witness this pathetic soap opera.

 

One thing that I would like to point out...

This place is not a democracy. It is a dictatorship run by Raven and Zev, and as such, they get the last say on things.

 

Not to be an egotist.. but hell take a month off and they forget about you!

I'd like to disagree though with Vash

We are to blame. We chose the smaller folks who acted up to toss out, yet let some of the bigger folks who should of went away slide, just because they'd been around awhile. We let a few folks stay causing constant problems, just to not seem so hardassed. We let too much stuff slide, and now you have a partial inmates running the asylum type deal.

I agree that alot of stuff has been let slide but i am probably here because of that. I said alot of things that would be classed as stupid but i have learned. give the new people a chance but once they are third year and above hammer them into the wood they came from!!
