I must first ask nobody to take offense from I will say.

A story with Harry as a cunning and guileful person, can only potray him as cunning and guileful as the author can possibly be or the author has to use ideas from others.

Now there are some very intelligent Harry stories, but what I propose is that we acknowledge that we have an imagination limited to our own intelligence capabilities.

So do you feel that a story where several of the best authors on this site got together and wrote a story together being involved in every part discussing ideas, and not just on IRC, they could produce a masterpiece?

I know this has been attempted and done before but I am talking on the scale of ~7-10 authors.

What I'm thinking right now...is..."Sit down. Calm down. Shhhh."

Authors on this site have their own fics to work on. And in any case, why waste the capabilities of 7-10 authors on ONE fic when you can get 7-10 fics instead?

Soo... You think larger number of authors quibbling around one story would INCREASE its chances of success? Lol, good luck.

I was't saying it is going to work, I know stories with just 2 authors fail most of the time, but if the authors knew each other well, then just maybe.

Community stories rarely work out well, though I have hugh hopes for AVISOUE (A Veela Involved Series of Unfortunate Events). When's the next chapter coming, people?!?

People here don't know each other WELL.

I will reffer to the well know saying of "To many cooks spoil the soup"

    It wouldn't work.

The next chapter will be out once Shezza gets off his lazy ass and does his part. which should be soon considering RoA is done. -Ignores the fact he hasn't completely done his part.*

You stole that from my sig, didn't you? :p

But yeah, most authors would be to busy worring about their own update schedule to bother with something like that.

If Shakespeare had done group writing, I'm sure his plays would've been much better... NOT

I doubt half of us would agree on several points, thus creating a cluster-fuck.

    *blinks*

Lazy arse? Hell, my arse is not lazy. Sure, my arms are lazy, my back is lazy and I have a lazy twitch in my eye, but my arse is not lazy! My leg's may be a little flabby and short and my gut may have been expanding recently, but my arse remains as taut and firm as ever.

...In an ungay and manly type of way, of course.

Anyway Jon, I'm writing and finishing the epilogue today, so after that, my scheadule is clear.

    So there.

I agree - as an author of a slytehrin Harry I doubt we WOULD aggree

What is the house, what is it's role in the greater society outside of the school? and what exactly happens behind closed dorm doors

I have my own idea's <Unpublised because I AM a lazy ass> that I think are good ideas and half the fun of being an author is to explore those idea's
