    Star Wars isn't EA's Intellectual Property :/

I'm no lawyer, but I imagine claiming that it is would tickle Disney's litigious bone.

    It's a licensed game.

Besides, Bioware already makes a successful Star Wars game. And rumour has it the new IP is a Destiny clone they've been working on for 4 years (Project Dylan, if you wanna look it up).

Games come and go but new console introductions stay forever.

So all I care about E3 is Scorpio:)

It's more than likely not SW related as EA has plenty of studios (currently DICE, Visceral, Respawn and Bioware Austin) working on that already.
BW Edmonton is working on this full steam, plus a new Dragon Age is likely in preproduction stages.

Yeah, it's much more likely you'll hear something about those at TGS (maybe PSX) or their own announcement event thing (like the one they had a couple months ago where they announced a few 3DS games).

Unless SMT 5 is exclusive to Switch and Nintendo decide to show it during their E3. Unlikely though.

Mass Effect was shelved? Not too sad to go, but still, a shame. Very interesting universe they had, even if I feel that they used all that there was to use there.

I'm going to laugh so hard if this basically turns out to be a slightly upgraded PS4 pro.

Well the PS4 Pro market is what it is competing with, so I think it will be a more powerful PS4 Pro, instead of say a Xbox Two for example.

A real 60hz 2k-4k XBox console obviously means more to the XBox franchise than the PS4 Pro meant for the PS market due last generation's power differential.

True. Will still be pretty pathetic though considering they've been hyping it as God's singular gift to gaming.

The Scorpio is for people who can't have a decent PC in their lives. There's no reason to have one otherwise given every xbox exclusive is on Windows...

Oh, and by all accounts, it's considerably more powerful than the Pro. Supposedly playing games at native 4k 30fps.

Anything from CDProjekt RED - hoping beyond reason for Cyberpunk, will be happy to see their new IP they apparently are working on, will get more Gwent most likely.

Also, even though I don't play it, I'm interested in the new Call of Duty, because we're back to World War 2 and what made this series good - shooting Nazis.

The PS4 pro handles at native 4k/30 as well. It's the 4k/60 games that it struggles with. In the next 2-3 years before console gen rollover, if devs actually start building their games to run at 4k/60, I can see where the extra tflops and memory might actually matter.

No it doesn't. It simulates 4k with a process called checkerboarding. It's nice, but not 4k

Note: some old titles are native 4k, I'm talking about new AAA ones.

Note 2: still fucking salty they didn't make 108060 a priority

People buy consoles not just for money reasons but for *convenience* reasons. I surely have no interest to put a PC with some silly 300W GPU into my living room so I can play games with the best graphics quality possible. It's not about the money as a lot console players surely spent more on their library than most PC players ever will.

Thought the specs had been out for a little while for scorpio? And the disparity between it and ps4 pro is just as big (reportedly) as the one vs the ps4 to the xbone.

The question is is it too little to late? Considering the game library, amount of users and the fact it's just an upgrade and not a new generation, not many people will be jumping ship to xbone now beyond elitist and die hard xbox fans that have been too embarrassed to buy a xbox this generation.

Tbh there isn't much this year I am holding out for in E3, all I care about at E3 nowadays is the game trailers because they all look awesome. Oh and Elder Scrolls 6, but that is at least a couple more years off. No complaints here, I'm happy to wait for a boss game then to have a developer keep on releasing a series even when it grows stale (I'm looking at you Halo, one of my old favourite franchises I haven't touched in years.)

Atm I'm more interested in what is happening between intel and amd then any particular games coming out. But that doesn't mean I'm not wide open to jump on a hype train if one presents itself. Toot toot.

The Pro applies upscaling and checkerboarding for games that aren't true 4k. It can run native 4k games, there just aren't more than a handful of 4k titles out for pro. For example, it runs skyrim special edition at native4k30 without any upscaling.

Yeah, saying Skyrim (a six year old game) can run at native 4k therefore PS4pro can run native 4k games is too deceptive for my liking.

It runs the wipeout collection at 4k too fwiw.

Diablo is old as fuck too. Battleborn is surprising, tbf, but my statement still stands.

There's hundreds of games on the system, but with a rare few (mostly old) exceptions, it can't run games at native 4k. Do I care? No. I have a PC for performance gaming. I still think it's deceptive to say PS4pro is a 4k native gaming console, especially when the competition is slated to be just that. A native 4k gaming console.

On another note. New Dissidia was announced this morning for ps4 early 2018. Looks like an arcade port? Either way, no Noctis no buy.

Okay, I just realised that this would probably be the most relevant place for it but what do you guys think on Rocksteady making a Harry Potter game, and possibly a series? A game(s) that's not a movie tie in so that they have freedom for their own art direction, best case scenario, a blending of books, movies and fuck it why not some relevant Pottermore. Probably RPG elements, like Canis Canem Edit (Bully), you know all that good stuff. The more I think about how well Rocksteady could do, the giddier I get. It would probably be the best chance at a genuinely good Harry Potter game.
