Also, sure there was a half decent chance he'd go for Jarizok. But there was a very real chance he goes for me, or Waco. We'd been discussed as options quite prominently, with no resolution.

In that situation, with my thread capital at its absolute lowest, a) how large are my chances of convincing him to back off Waco or I, and b) how is that worth the damage done in chaining us together?

If I'm worried, I get a partner to do it, pribably indirectly by arguing for Jarizok.

I think the only reason scum!Q would defend Waco is so that he could claim he would never defend Waco like that. I don't really see that happening.
