That's pretty much all we can say. Seems like Attack on Titan but sci fi.

    That was spectacularly uneventful.

Greedfall, Frostpunk, ANCESTORS, AGONY, HELLBLADE, Batlefront 2, ANTHEM were all moderaltley interesting to me.

Greedfall is most likely going to he a buy as well as Hellblade.

I will wait and see about ANCESTORS and Battlefront 2 as I am a bit skittish to see whether Ancestors is a carbon copy of an Assasins Creed game and EA's adaptations of BF1 makes me nervous about them.

Agony looked really unique and I will love to learn more about it.

Anthem will he hit or miss. Hoping hit, but online only games are always a negative.

So yeah, EA conference was shit.

Here are some points of interest/disinterest for me:

    • Opening with the stupid drum line and Madden pretty much told me right off the bat that this wasn't going to be the greatest conference.
    • While I have absolutely zero interest in Madden, I'm sure this new story mode (which I'm pretty sure is a bit of a departure from traditional Madden) will be popular with the games current fanbase.
    • The Battlefield 1 DLC seems interesting, though I don't have much of an interest in Battlefield/don't own it so this doesn't affect me all that much. Still, I'm more interested in this than all of the sports games shown off so far. This is EA's way of squaring off with CoD this year, I'm pretty sure.
    • Again, don't care too much for sports games like FIFA, and I wasn't even aware there was an eSports community revolving around the game.
    • Need for Speed seems cool, not really into racing games but the presentation was neat. Not something I'll buy, but I can see myself watching it from time to time.
    • I have to go back to the sports thing one more time - I don't know what the market is for games of this genre, but I don't see how much one FIFA or Madden game can differ from another. I also don't think sports games make for very good presentation the way a Battlefield game or Need for Speed or Battlefront do. With like 35% of the conference being sports (maybe more), This kind of kills the vibe of the whole show for me.
    • A Way Out... don't really know what to say here. It gives me an Uncharted and The Last of Us feel kinda. It seems like it could be interesting, but I don't even own a second PS4 controller let alone have another person to play it with (not that I really have much of an interest in this sort of thing - story driven sci fi and fantasy is more in my ballpark).
    • Also holy shit that youtuber guy. PLEASE. I cringed so hard I had to pause the stream and wait for him to leave. I'm sure part of the problem was the teleprompter, but still.
    • ANTHEM. Holy shit, I can't wait for the gameplay reveal during the Microsoft conference. From what I understand, it's basically EA's answer to Destiny and the Division, which makes me pretty ecstatic since I love the whole mmorpg/looter shooter combo. D2 and Division didn't have much in the way of story so hopefully with Bioware in charge of Anthem we'll get something incredible.

Let's also hope they don't fuck it up.

    • STAR WARS. FUCK YES. The multiplayer looks amazing so far, and I like the inclusion of all three eras. But where the fuck are the Star Wars games being developed by Respawn and Visceral? We've had no news for so long now on either that I'm starting to worry.
    • I just want to skip back to Anthem real quick because what the fuck was with that placement? Right after what could be one of EA's biggest new IPs they stick NBA live? And right before the Anthem reveal was basically more Madden? Very confused.
    • Galaxy of Heroes.

    What. The actual. Fuck.

    Why.

    WHY.

    WHO GIVES A SHIT.

WHO ACTUALLY GIVES A FUCKING SHIT.

    WHO.

    WHO?

So that's basically all my rantings out and over with. Disappointed in the lack of a reveal for any Mass Effect: Andromeda DLC, but I wasn't too hopeful on that due to how it was received on launch. I'm also gonna state again how disappointed I am on the lack of any info on the other two Star Wars games being worked on by EA studios.

With all that out of the way, here's what I'm hoping for from the Microsoft conference. I'll likely make another post like this one once that is out of the way, and so on.

    • Some good, hard info on the Scorpio, as well as a price and what (besides obvious hardware upgrades) really makes it worth buying.
    • Halo 6. Not confirmed to be at the event or anything, but I can hold out hope, can't I?
    • Decent exclusives
    • Lots of opportunities for cross-platform play between Xbone/Scorpio and PC.

I'm also pretty sure we're gonna see a lot of VR stuff at the microsoft conference, but we'll see.

What many people fail to understand during e3 is, just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it isn't important.

Those sport games are amongst the highest selling games. Every. Year. Galaxy of heroes is also hugely popular. I don't like either, but what I think doesn't matter.

I think the conference itself was poorly executed - like robots trying to imitate humans - but people love those games.

Oh, and have a new KH3 trailer. More at D23 next month.

There is nothing strong enough to contain my hype for Battlefront 2. I've been waiting for a game that includes the Republic/CIS era for nearly a decade now.

The trailer looking cool helped, also.

Yes, even if. Though, it seems like the devs know that another shitty game like the last one won't be accepted. The gameplay looked okay.

All I want to know is if there'll be a single player campaign, and if there'll be space battles.

Probably a no on the second, as it jumps too far off the 'FPS multiplayer' market that they're looking to mooch off of, but the first one might get a bone.

Remember when games weren't beholden to one single market and had artistic licence to do what they envisioned?

Oh I understand that perfectly. I'm not sitting back and grading E3 from an impartial standpoint, however, and I doubt that most people are as well. For the people that wait in anticipation for the next Madden and FIFA game I'm sure the EA conference was really exciting for them. For me in particular? Not really.

How do you go into a game with that kind of attitude and expect to enjoy it? The gameplay has been said to have been largely improved by the people who've played it so far, and there's still room for tweaks before release.

If you expect to dislike it, you probably will.

The fact that there are four classes of trooper with different stats completely turns the actual shooter and team mechanics on its head. So the actual play is going to be pretty different.

What really ia going to make or break this title is mode and objective diversity. They need to change it up and innovate. If it's just 15 different ways to play 'king of the hill' or 'deathmatch' like the last game, it is going to fail.

    Assassin's Creed looks very RPG-y

The combat looked revamped too. Saw some quick-stepping/dashing while in melee.

The new AC looks very Witcher-y to me. With the RPG elements like the stats and legendary bow stuff.

And wow, The Last Night looks pretty af.
