So, the only thing I've taken from E3 is that Anthem was clearly Bioware's focus for the last couple of years and I kind of hate them for it.

Seriously. Mass Effect was the first game I played that really, really resonated with me. I loved it, I loved 2, and I loved 3, warts and all. Andromeda isn't bad, per se, not like its reputation has earned, but. What if they had expended all their effort on it? Not tossed it to an inexperienced branch of Bioware and had em go to town?

 

I'm willing to bet that the flight can be controlled. I'm sure there are parts where you can't, but the world is contiguous so controlled flight would be a great method of travel, especially if it replaces some sort of fast travel system.

 

Bethesda kicks off conference sporting a solid chub for VR.

Never played Evil Within. Everyone said it was just a less scary Silent Hill, so I passed on it. Still not super interested.

Wolfenstein looks more whacked out than ever. Gameplay will probably still be shit, but whatever.

Absolute waste of a conference slot.

I have to admit, I wasn't hyped at all by Bethesda's briefing, so far anthem is the best thing that has been shown at E3.

Also, yes, I didn't care about anything in the Bethesda conference, but that Wolfenstein trailer made it worth it.

Fucking brilliant, and I've never played one of the new W games.

 

They really should have shown off a new IP as the capstone, even if it was just a hint. Two sequels plus some white noise about VR does not warrant a conference.

 

Was it expected? It's generally a thing of theirs to only announce games that'll come out that year, no?

No way is ES6 ready so soon after Fallout.

Bethseda has been saying for awhile now ES6 is still years away, some reports not until the 2020s. You think you got blueballs now, they are going to be purple and veiny by the time we get ES6.

Bethseda conference was meh, but I really enjoyed the new Wolfrnstein trailer. I'm still hanging out that we will get some worthy VR breakouts this year, but its still looking a bit slim so far.

 

It's going to be a few more years before devs really commit to VR. The headset and haptic feedback tech needs to take a few giant leaps forward first.

 

Honestly the ending seemed rushed, and the presenter dude (I forget what his name is) seemed nervous as he was closing. I wouldn't be too surprised if they had something planned and for whatever reason had to cut last minute. Apparently in a few different places (haven't looked for proof or anything, I could be wrong here) it was stated that the Bethesda conference would take up a whole hour.

Edit: Granted he could have been nervous because he knew about all the death threats he was about to receive.

 

I need an awesome Sony conference. Just melt my face off with kewl shit, okay? Because this has been incredibly underwhelming E3 so far.

 

We're gonna see a lot of GoW, Spiderman and Days Gone. Add Destiny 2 to that as definites.

As for possibles: Detroit, Dreams and Sucker Punch IP.
