So first off; I really don't think Cobalt makes that claim with a scum team of four, him doing so when he's in a good position means he can never end-game and automatically either gets lynched at F5 or F3 depending the situation we get in feels nonsensical. I think the most likely scenario we're dealing with is a scum team of five that don't have day talk, even though I think we'd be under-powered there too but that's a discussion I'm sure I'll have with Newcomb post-game. Would like others to chime on this briefly if they disagree on any of this, ultimately think we're looking for two more scum though.

I don't think there's anything that anyone can do to convince me there's ever scum inside [Vaimes/Fable]. It's about finding the scum inside the remainders [Adult/Blab/DC/Pie/Stanari] and going through that carefully.

 

Fonti seems like such a weird protect but okay.

 

Let's kill Miner and Reg. Maybe blab.

idk, Cobalt appealing to me and dC specifically to believe him feels like that makes dC town.

 

I'm reasonably confident that Cobalt doesn't make that claim about a partner and then proceed to enter the thread inside the last hour trying to push it through using AtE when he'd know if Pie got lynched he'd be caught via not dying as a claimed tracker ultimately anyway. I also don't think the way that both of them interacted during that period makes much sense as partners. When you combine that with the fact that Cobalts agreement about my Waco/Pie theory in Post #1107 and his comments about Zenzao/Pie in Post #1357 it'd mean as mafia Cobalt had to be really hard bussing throughout the entire game on partners that weren't in dreadful positions, I don't really consider that likely. Add the fact that Pie's early push on Cobalt in Post #184 when he was being town read and the subsequent discussion that occurred between him and Waco about Cobalt and I think the odds of Pie actually being scum here are ridiculously low. Cobalts final words inside the thread at the end of the day feels like him resigned to the fact that he didn't get to at least trade 1-1 there rather than him pulling off an awesome gambit and outplaying us. Yeah okay, Fable & Vaimes can slap me if I start thinking Pie is mafia again because it doesn't really make any sense here at all.

Drops it down to [Adult/Blab/DC/Stanari] for where the remaining scum exist.

I still really think the way Zenzao & Stanari interacted before he was actually hammered and her assessment and analysis of the situation there reads very genuine and pretty unlikely to come from mafia. I think Cobalts early buddying up to Stanari attempts and her reaction towards them similarly point against her being scum as does his treatment of her throughout yesterdays day phase ie. Post #2300. Her playful interactions and comments about him in Post #114, Post #609 and Post #617. Find it very unlikely she has the balls to stick two of her partners inside her top three town reads like she would have had to in Post #641 and the whole "Cobalt & Plotless are mafia partners and she's slipped calling me Stan something that Cobalt calls me" that's notable around Post #919 feels far too convoluted a thought process to come from scum about a partner. Her prodding and trying to have a conversation with him to get a read on him in Post #942 and again in Post #1048 and Post #1053 just doesn't feel like W/W at all. The way she answers Vaimes's question about Cobalt in Post #1128 just never comes from a partner. Yeah okay, this isn't a thing either, she's just town.

In there I'd eat a shoe if Miners not mafia here, I'm pretty meh overall on Blab and need to spend some time today rereading him and I've got ~town feels~ about DC but that flip and the fact that scum probably don't have day talk weakens that quite substantially, I'll go into that later.

DLP normally has Daychat for mafia, but with the way this game has gone, I honestly don't know if Newcomb decided to switch it up or what.

Felt that five mafia was too powerful, so took away Daychat? Eh.
