    From the description of Fleur's parents, I'd say it's almost certainly canon (which, at least, proves my interpretation wrong). And what you're talking about is hemophilia -- a genetic disorder said to be "sex-linked", transmitted by women (and males, if they survive long enough to get married and have daughters, who will be rarely sick but will carry the mutant gene), but normally only males develop the disease.     ... "Likely release date" sounds like a big joke as far as any of my stories/chapters are concerned. Here's what I can say: the story in question, Reed in a Storm, is supposed to be released after I'm finished with my currently active WIP (6 or 7 chapters to go). It'll be post-DH, epilogue disregarded, and Harry/Gabrielle. The rest of the plot is a little complicated -- although there's a first draft of the prologue somewhere in WBA.
