In lack of an actual plot to follow, character interactions take lead role. Because of that, I‘d say tone down Harry‘s superiority complex. I mean, nothing seems to impress Harry or tone down his holier than thou attitude, and that‘s bad because you have him dealing with the absolute top of the DC Universe. There are many things more interesting than Harry one-upping hero after hero. There have been some Indy!Harry vibes. Until we get a cohesive plot to focus on, a more likeable Harry would...
Sadface. I was hoping to see some nice Lantern!Harry action. Oh well.
That's a pretty standard ability, I think many people have it. True, if Harry went all out (Death Ring and whatever other aces he has) he'd win, probably handily, but I said "purely magical battle". A quick wikipedia scan produced this about the various Doctor Fates: <_< >_> Will stop derail now ...
Errr ... only for the fact that few beings are more capable magically than Doctor Fate. Strong as a Harry is, in a straight up magical batte, he would lose. So, no memory charming Dr Fate anytime soon, I assume.
Sinestro may be a Green Lantern, but he became one after a long series of events. The GL continuity did not stop or reboot with the New 52.
DCUO even has its own comic. It's an AU, but only in plot. The characters are the same.
That's not true. Fate's symbol is the ankh. It appears a lot a round him. Hell, anytime he teleports he leaves a glowing ankh fading behind him. It is even in video games.
But you have to admit, the Deathly Hallows symbol is xInfinity times better for a superhero symbol than the ankh.
Indeed. Ion for Green, Predator for Violet, Parallax for Yellow, some kind of Bull/Rhino for Red, some kind of Octopus for Indigo, and I can't remember the rest. of them They all plyed a part in the recent GL comics, in which Krona takes control of them and puts them in the Guardians, who are promptly mind controlled. Then Hal and Co have to fight these insanely strong Guardian/Hosts using Rings they aren't familiar with to reach Krona. To their credit, Hal did beam the fuck out of Krona...
Captain America stopping petty crime? How? By walking around the city?
A question about Marvel verse. What do Captain America and Iron Man do? I haven't read their comics, but I can't imagine them going around New York stopping petty crimes like Spiderman, do they? Or are they only dealing with big shot threats, in conjuction with SHIELD or something? But if they do, why are they called superheroes? Can someone clarify?
Eh, I remember when that happened. Didn't exactly work out. That is what usually happens, yes. Sinestro Corpsmen used to make a habit of killing a Lantern, and then following the Ring to the rookie, rinse and repeat. Many times though, when people don't want another Ring to run away, they just blast it to bits. I suppose it does depend on the writer though. The Rings seem to very easily escape situations that they couldn't save their wearers from.
I always assumed that the Violet and Indigo Light just brainwashed people, and the Saphirres and the Tribe provided the Rings. Areyou sure green and blue formed a hybrid? I know how they amplify each other, but actully unite? Really? Many colors affect or subvert each other, I always assumed, and usually saw, that the original Ring was intact, if unused.
Pretty sure they were Green Rings. I've read the majority of the Green Lantern comics, and while I can't remember specifics, I'm pretty sure I've seen a few get destroyed here and there. I think most were during the Sinestro Corps War. I seem to recall the Guardians destroying a Yellow Ring at some point, Sinestro or his men picking out a couple of GL rings. Not sure, mind you, but that's what I remember. At some scenes, a single concentrated blast from a Ring was enough to take another...
... Only the rings don't work like that.
Er ... many rings have been destroyed throughout the series, with various means. It's just really hard to do.
It has been emphasized, several times and by several characters, that the GL rings function squarely on science, not a drop of magic in them. Only one dude's ring functions with magic. He uses the name Green Lantern too, and uses a ring but isn't part of the GL Corps. Alan Scott or somesuch. His be a magic ring.
Eh. Maybe Ion could stop it, but seeing as the Killing Curse is supposed to be the epitome of destructive magic, I expet only something on a similar level could stop it. So I guess no, your normal GL's shields would just break.
I'd say Dumbledore leans more towards the Compassion side of the spectrum, but with all the shit that's been going on with the Indigo Tribe I don't think it'd be a viable choice. If you weren't going for the humor factor, however, I think the best choice would have been a Blue Ring, if not an Indigo one. Good stuff, but it seems really short and lacks progression besides some interactions. Despite that, this is shaping up to be real fun.
