I only watched the anime first, and got interested enough and begun reading it from the start the Shuppuden arc (the Itachi vs Sasuke fight was starting at the time). Due to this I'm not sure if it was as epic in the manga, but Gaara + Lee vs Kimimaro always gave me nerd chills. I am quite surprised honestly it hasn't been mentioned already.
