The only questions I kind of avoided was the 3rd and 4th questions and that's because I figures Kalas is smart enough to have kept everything fairly balanced despite not having the original size. I trust him therefore I don't really think town as any advantage/disadvantage at this point. As for the 4th one. Sandman is the strongest late stage role, essentially able to take any one characters skill and that means anyone in Asylum, mafia or town. That's a ridiculously powerful late game skill.
Sorry, it's Clayface. I apologize, I never really like either of those two characters and tended to avoid their stories in Marvel and DC. The name didn't stick, but the role still has that ability. Quit being pedantic.
So you avoided the only questions that have anything to do with the game itself? (Experience aside) Good show, old bean. Good show. As a follow up question, who do you think is the most dangerous player as scum and are there any role/player combinations (scum only) that you would find particularly worrying?
Vesvius and fontisian equally feature on my danger list. Mostly from experience. Combos: Killer Croc and Bane/Penguin because not only does the Scum get a kill per usual, but Killer Croc can add an infoblocked second kill. That's going to suck.
@Kento Kraitos: Based on what you know of the forum, who do you consider the most dangerous potentially scum players in this game?
1. I enjoyed it a ton, but I wasn't much of a batman buff til those movies came out so semi-biased considering he's like the only Joker I remember fairly well 2. Batman Begins/Dark Knight Rises I think, they're both darker + more gritty + I saw the Dark Knight multiple times in theaters and remember the plot way too well 3. The removal of a faction has given us a really interesting position, but I'll explain it below 4. Obviously the Riddler, but of the scum roles I'd say Two Face and ClayFace. 5. Quite a few games here, quite a few elsewhere (mafiascum, sc2mafia, fantasystrike). I can link a few if anyone wants Can ClayFace steal the Riddler's ability? So if the Riddler is dead AND ClayFace is dead, we can massclaim completely freely and break the game that way. If massclaim occurs before both of these characters are dead we can get really fucked really fast. Normally a soup mechanic is the way to prevent mass claiming from solving a game early, in this game the soup mechanic is entirely built into the Riddler faction (and Clayface if the ability is stolen?) TwoFace is pretty dangerous because it's a forced lynch as requested, meaning we have one less mislynch due to him. The upside is it reveals him so it'll basically only happen once he's on the chopping block ---------- Post automerged at 12:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:35 PM ---------- I'm assuming Penguin/Bane choice happened during pregame?
I actually already asked this in my QT. Yes he can, but if he fails a guess he still cannot guess again during the phase. What I want to know is, can he pick the Riddler multiple times, and if he guesses wrong thrice, is his identity revealed? Is the original Riddler's identity revealed instead?
1. Awesome rendition of a dangerous psychopath, but lacked the funny and insane aspects of the Joker. Loved him but it wasn't quite the Joker for me. 2. The Batman animated series. 3. Not having to worry about Bane and Penguin at the same time is nice and while it sucks that we do not have any real direct kill options, not having to hunt the amount of scum as before makes that up for the most part. 4. While each scum has the potential to be dangerous in the hands of a skilled player, I am of the same mind as Vesivius, that certain town roles in the hand of unskilled players can do just as much damage. Booster Gold's ability is one that can do a lot of damage or a lot of good depending on how it's used. 5. Yeah, played 4 or 5 games on DLP over the years. Star Wars, think a GoT one, a witchhunt one IIRC, and one with you even, although I do not remember what type of game that one exactly was.

So, thinking Riley's probably Town...so's...hm. Sloth Riley Lyrium Snowvon Aekiel TerRaine Qgqqqqq Vesvius Nemrut Atum Quanksor Schrodinger Zenzao Fishy Justice Kento Kraitos Citrus Nemrut His fluffiness Hm. Trying to find a way to make massclaiming work for us - if we mass claim, there's going to be 10 people countering, not just 8: The Riddler cannot say he's the Riddler. Scum wants him around even less than Town does and they'll know which one is not part of their group, so they have a 50/50 chance of killing him off N1. However, there's still the Riddler's insta-kill that he can technically use on everyone D1, so...maybe if we all claim during the last hour or something? Giving him very little chance to act? Discuss.
@Sloth: The Riddler can still Match names at Night, thereby killing off most of Town, and leaving Scum with a majority. Therefore, even massclaiming at the last hour would not be a good idea. And if we go through with your plan, if Clayface is still alive N2, he can take the Riddler's powers N2 to kill off the rest of Town. GG, Scum win. Your plan is not a good idea, except for the scumteam.
Yeah, massclaiming needs to be left to one side for a good while. Sloth, what do you find suspicious about Nemrut's post?
Oh, move Snowvon to the slight scum reads. This is Mafia 101, people. The Warlock/Riddler/whatever role exists to prevent massclaims and the existence of a scum role thief just reinforces that. Massclaim is only going to become an option in the mid-late game, if we're aware that Riddler and Clayface are both dead. Anyway. Riley: Fonti isn't playing. Any others you'd include on that list for reasons beyond experience? Also, what precisely do you mean by that? Lyrium: Any follow up on your question list? Has anyone peaked your interest through their answers?
