Golden Trio without Hermione

    There are a lot of stories where Neville replaces Ron in Golden Trio, but not many stories where Hermione isn'tautomatically a part of Team Harry.
    I'm looking for the stories like that.
    -) The presence of Ron isn't necessary, only the absence of Hermione.

    A lot of Slytherin!Harry stories replace Hermione with Daphne or Tracey. But in general Hermione is the (mostly) undisputed 'smart witch' in Harry's circle of acquaintances. So authors tend to tweak her personality if they don't like her rather than swapping her out.

    Ron on the other hand is the 'regular guy' of the trio, and since he hasn't got much going for him he's easy to swap out for any other random dude you feel like slotting in for him.

    There are a few, usually based on the premise that Harry is sorted in a different house - not necessarily Slytherin.

    I got the impression that more often than not it's Harry with two girls, though, i.e Susan and Hannah, some random Ravenclaw and Luna, Tracey and Daphne, ...
