My favorite Naruto chap since I can't remember when.

 

By your logic, Sakura would have the toad summons. Fail... to both you and Kishi.

 

Except Kakashi and Naruto are also standing on the toad and Naruto is the one holding the scroll in a swirl of chakra/smoke.
And Sasukes been loaded with subtle hawk references the whole series.

Just face it, Kishi might make some lame stuff with Sasuke, but this isn't one of those times.

Nothing the man has ever put on a cover page has been given to its characters. He gave Sakura a katana in one of them, but I don't exactly see ol' Forehead running around and shanking people.

Expected the Hawk summon to appear way back when Manda was first killed, the renaming of Hebi to Hawk ect.

 

I am not minding the Hawk summons per se, but I would have liked an explanation on how he got them. Did he find the summon scroll during the time with Hawk? Did he sign in while he was drunk? Did Itachi implant it with his finger? Was it because he made the philosophical change of attitude from Snake to Hawk so his summon changed too? Is it a side effect of the MS? What's going on? EXPLAIN SOMETHING!

Although I am grateful that the Hawk did not have Sharingan eyes.

You mean beside the point that he has eyes all over his right arm? And that they are apparently plot powered eyes which give him exact the power he needs to escape Sasuke's attacks.

What do you like about them? Did you honestly think "oh, an arm full of Sharingans. What a splendid idea. Wish he had thought of it earlier." ?

 

errr....no. Just wanted to see why you didn't like the Sharingarm rather than you just saying you didn't like the arm. Now stop making stupid assumptions before you make an ass out of... yourself! lol

and if you really want to know, I think the Sharingan is an overrated piece of shit that Kishi likes to fap to whenever he draws it (the sharingarm is his ultimate fap dream). It started off ok, but like the rest of the manga (and as Chengar previously said), shit got added on without so much of a thought to continuity and story flow. But as far as retcons go, the Sharingan takes the fucking cake!

 

Danzo seems to have gotten an Aizen-like power. Isn't Shisui's sharingan specialty something to do with mind-control/hypnosis or something? And what the hell is with the Hawk? When, where and how did Sasuke get it? Even Madara was surprised by it. Really, I'm getting tired of characters pulling mountains out of their arse-holes with no explanation.

But it is to be expected in a Shonen Manga, I suppose? To be honest, Naruto and Bleach are the only ones I've been following and only for the last year-and-a-half at that.

 

You're getting it confused- Sasuke summons snakes....
This is Sásuké the evolved form of Sasuke.. its special summons is the hawk.

 

What bugs me most in this chapter is Sasuke's fighting style. I mean, isn't he supposed be the next ultimate bad guy ninja? However, all he does in battle is standing at one place and waiting for his ghostly guardian skeleton devil of doom to take care of his enemies. And once it doesn't work, he starts setting things on fire with sharingan.

My point is that his style doesn't make much sense. He starts battle with his possibly most powerful technique and follows with the second most powerful one, both of which supposedly consume tons of chakra. And when he's forced to dodge an attack, he summons a freaking hawk! I get that he may want to finish the battle quickly but now he seems pretty worn after 3-4 attacks... I guess one could replace Sasuke with one big sharingan eyeball and battle wouldn't lose any of its intensity.

And did Itachi install some kind of safety mechanism to all stray sharingans after the massacre? One that prevents anyone from using them against Sasuke? I'm thinking something like what he did to Naruto...

 

From what I gathered from this chapter, Sasuke is still trying to fill out these techniques so he keeps using them to get an exact idea of what they can do, and how difficult they are to maintain. I don't think this was meant to be an ideal fighting style.

Honestly, I think the the fights have really gone downhill in the series. It has become more and more about standing there and throwing powerful techniques around than it is about planning things out in a sensible manner. Then there is the fact that many of the techniques that once made Itachi so damn effective are being countered by everyone and their mother when Sasuke uses them. I don't have a problem with the sharigan in theory. I mean I find it to be nice, but all of these techniques that are supposedly so difficult to use and counter being tossed around and then countered only to have Sasuke throw out a new more improved technique is what makes me start to hate the sharigan. If the sharigan would have been left alone it would have been plenty powerful enough to get the job done.

 

Agree to most of this, he fought way smarter when he didn't have MS techniques. Gaara is the only one to make fighting while standing absolute still, look cool

Stop saying such things man, my only hope is that this Itachi is real and starts bitchslapping everyone within a five kilometer radius which hopefully includes Sakura.

The Sharinganarm by the way seems to fulfill a similar purpose like Kakuzu's hearts, so does he swap the used ones like reloading a gun or replacing them like used batteries from his small trunk, full with Sharingan's ?

 

Psyren, Kekkaishi, One Piece:awesome and apparently Claymore. (I always thought this was Seinen, but it is under Shounen in OM so meh.)

 

We can only hope.

Let this Itachi be real and have done all this too convince Madara to let his guard down. Itachi can show Sasuke how its done by doing it to Sasuke cause oh my god does this kid need a asskicking thinking he is suddenly unstoppable because he has two great MS techniques.

 

Dude...Its simple. Sasuke is in a life or death situation again and Kishimoto ran out of Sharingan upgrades. Now there will be Summon Upgrades for Sasuke. They has teh uber techniques to WTF! PWn all other summons. You just see.

Who wants to bet the Hawks taught Sasuke a technique to PWN Sage mode?

Right now, I doubt Sasuke's thinking at all. He's got off on a large pot of 'adrenaline-hate' is now trying to stick it to everyone he sees. Danzo said as much. The phrase 'blind with anger/hate' seems to mean so much more when speaking of a Sharingan "Eye-of-Insight" user...

Well Sasuke's seemingly the last fight of the series for Naruto. So explained or pulled-out-of-arse powers, Sasuke's got to be the most powerful character in the series along with Naruto.

 

So someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but did Kishimoto just completely validate another fanon idea and contradict himself at the same time with this whole multiple summons contracts thing? As I recall it was fairly explicit that you could only sign one contract ever and that was it.

 

I may be wrong, but I dont think it was plainly stated anywhere in the manga that you can't have more than one summon. Again, I may be wrong. Most people, including me, assumed that it was impractical, seeing even Jiraiya had minor problems working with a summon like Gamabunta. So, Controlling more than one summon would be very impractical.

Besides, If I remember correctly Pain had 3 or more summons. While he can be assumed as the exception, for having the Rinnegan and all, he still had more than one summon. So there's no rule saying you can't have multiple summons in the manga.

The last point being that Sasuke indirectly but intentionally brought about the end of Manda. I don't see any other snakes willing to work for him after that. So, practically speaking, Sasuke may still have only 1 working summon.
