New chapter up. Spoilers are right.

Crossing my fingers for "that" technique to be Hirashin.

 

Now just what is meant by 'being the key'? Does that mean controlling it or releasing it? Bah, either way, we're in for a shitstorm.

Favorite part of the chapter was seeing Ibiki. And seeing Shizune freak out over Tonton.

 

Oooh, there's a bunch of new ninja in the splash panel. I wonder how many of them will actually get fleshed out.

Edit: I actually enjoyed this latest chapter. The fact that Naruto will now know how to release the Kyuubi without killing himself (?) is an interesting twist. Unfortunately, the fact that he can release Kyuubi means it's much more likely that the Juubi will actually get assembled. I really hope Naruto doesn't sacrifice his life to seal the Juubi, as was foreshadowed. That would be a bit grim.

Here's hoping "that jutsu" is the Hiraishin, and not the sealing jutsu.

Wait according to the new chapter the second Hokage knew Edo Tensi. WTF mind is blown :awesome

 

Got the feeling Naruto'll refuse the key. And actually seeing the chapter makes me feel that resurrecting the Edo Tensei technique was not really so unreasonable as it first appeared.

 

Orochimaru was in Akatsuki and maybe he knew about Nagato from his time during then.

Plus, it's Orochimaru, he had spies everywhere. It would be pretty awesome if half of Zetsu was on Orochimaru's side.

 

So wait...is this actually Kabuto with Orochimaru's knowledge, or is it Orochimaru possessing Kabuto and making everyone believe it's only Kabuto? Cuz a couple chapters back, he said that he's finally getting used to this body, and then here he counts himself as a separate entity from Orochimaru.

WTF is going on here?

 

I figured Naruto would eventually meet Bee to learn to control the nine tails.


I wonder if Kabuto realizes how strong Naruto has become? Because I wouldnt be suprised if Naruto could beat Kakuzu, Deidara, and Sasori at once. Nagato will be a challenge if he can recreate the paths of pain simply because he wont fall for the same tricks a second time. Just like Nagato, Itachi is questionable. Is it a near death from sickness, eyeless, missing a part of his power Itachi? Or is this a in perfect health, MS, full powered Itachi.

 

Yes he was? The guy in the far right coffin is Itachi.

 

Well, that wasn't nearly as bad as I was afraid of it being; for the most part, it was a good chapter. Definitely had several nice little comedy moments, and it's nice to be able to laugh a bit when reading Naruto after the last several arcs were full of serious business.

I'll withhold judgment on the resurrection of the Akatsuki until we find out a bit more about how that's going to work out. I still think it's a bad idea that probably won't go well, but I'm willing to wait until I see more of what Kishimoto has in mind for the Zombie-Akatsuki.

I really hope Nagato's not back at full power, because as awesome as the Pain fight was, I don't think I want to see the whole thing done all over again. Looking forward to seeing what Konan and Sasuke have to say about the revivals; I bet neither one of them is going to be very happy.

 

Konan is in the hands of Ikibi. Sasuke however, how will he react with Kabuto/Orochimaru joining Akutsuki? Also, I don't think the zombie members are full power if the third could take down the first and second and nearly Orochimaru at the same time.

I would have to say their chakra is limited to the amount the person who revived them put into the jutsu. So they might be strong but not as strong as they were before.

Also, it begs the question, will Kabuto put the control scrolls into them and how long will they last for?

 

When did that happen? I think you mean Karin, not Konan; bit of an important difference.

On a related note, I found Karin's attempt to conjure up a sob story, which Ibiki was completely unimpressed by, rather amusing.

Zombie-Akatsuki probably won't be at full power; if nothing else, I don't think Kishimoto would want to do a re-run of the Naruto vs. Pain fight or other battles that have already been done.

If Kabuto doesn't put the control scrolls in it would be rather interesting to see what happens since Nagato and Itachi now have absolutely no reason to be loyal to Akatsuki.

Of course, it could make for a nice epic and darkly humorous scene if Nagato and Itachi keep their free will and decide to smack around Kabutomaru, Madara, and the other three revived Akatsuki until the revival jutsu wears out.

 

Some humour, some plot, things are going forward, new stuff... am I the only one who thought this chapter was actually pretty awesome?

As we don't know anything about the power of the Edo Tensei Akatsuki, we can't really speculate. I'm actually fine with this if they're just used as tools, not real people, and as long as this is mostly a one-time thing.

 

This would be beyong epic since Itachi and Nagato were the probably the most powerful members of Akatsuki. Together I dont know that anyone short of Naruto and Sasuke together(obviously not gonna happen) could stop them.

 

Eh, I dunno if it's obvious or not. The future revealed by the toad this chapter said "the guy with the eyes" and Naruto naturally assumed he was talking about Sasuke. Considering how almost every bloodline we've seen is eye-related, it's possible Sasuke and Naruto could be teaming up in the future to fight someone like revived!Pain or perhaps another kind of eye bloodline...

 

Or there is always Madara

 

I doubt Kishimoto is going to introduce another big bad this late into the series. Also, the toad elder did not say "the guy with the eyes" but, at least in the versions of Mangastream and OneManga, "A young man/boy." That rules out Pain.

Without a massive characterization shift there's no way Sasuke could ever work with Naruto, because they have no mutual interests or common goals. Sasuke's main goals right now are killing Naruto in particular and everyone else is Konoha; not the sort of thing that leads to a team-up.

Also, why would Naruto need Sasuke's help to deal with Zombie-Pain? He handled the original well enough on his own.

 

Once again its a question of what Pain is capable of. If he is at full power it wont be nessecarily be a sure thing as I doubt he would fall for the same tricks this time. He knows to avoid the Rasenshuriken at all costs and knows how good Naruto is with clones. Of course if its Nagato as he was right before his death it doesnt really matter.

But my original point was I doubt anyone except Naruto and Sasuke together could stop a full strength Nagato and a full strength Itachi.( and once again the two of them working together is highly unlikely)
