Seriously. Look at the location given for Uzu in the chapter, then look up a map of the Naruto world. They're the same fucking island.

Well, either that, or Kishi managed to sink an island and brought another one on top of it.

 

I can accept Uzu being split up, but what about the rest of the Uzumaki? Due to the Uzumaki's relationship to the Senju, and their role as the Kyuubi Jinchurriki, I would expect them to migrate to Konoha first and foremost.

That is, if any survived. If they did, why the hell haven't we seen any before?

 

The uzumaki-senju relations raises an interesting question. Are the Uzumaki related to the Sage because they are related to the Senju or are the Senju related to the Sage because they are related to the Uzumaki?

I lean towards the latter myself because more of the Uzumaki have gifts that could be connected to their ancient ancestor.

 

I personally lean towards the latter as well, because it seems like the Uzumaki seemingly have more of the sage's abilities.

Example 1)

The Uzumaki's longevity. It was said the younger son inherited the Sage's body, the Uzumaki's longevity was the only one mentioned. it wasn't stated the Senju had the same lifespan. With this in mind, it seems like the Uzumaki have a greater inheritance of the sage's body.

Example 2)

All of the previous hosts of the Uzumaki have been of the Uzumaki clan. From what has been said, it is seemingly a combination of sealing abilities and genetic predisposition that lead to this.

Example 3)

Naruto, and Kushina's suppression of the Kyuub are seemingly more effective than the Senju's. Hell, Naruto's suppression method was said to be exactly the same as the Sage's. Although, I will concede Yamato's ability with Mokuton doesn't match the 1st Hokage's ability with it, both of the Uzumaki's seem stronger.

 

I thought that the Kyuubi being sealed inside a baby was because no one older could do it? Something about the chakra destroying an adult while the baby was able to adapt.

Maybe I'm mixing up canon, but I could've sworn something like that was mentioned.

I disliked this chapter too but I have to accept that Naruto turned into shit. I will just follow it to the end if only for the reason that it really easy to read the new chapters.

Also, ANBU = useless.

 

This chapter pretty much destroyed any Naruto hopes that I had. As others have said, Naruto is about hard work and accomplishment without any 'boosters', and Kishimoto just seems intent on destroying that motif completely.

Lets see now, where have we seen the idea of a super-strong Uzumake village, where everybody's afraid of them, and Naruto has a super secret bloodline limit that makes him awesome? Seriously, I was hoping for better. Guess I'll have to stick to fanfiction. HowdyU, any chance of an update?

 

To my knowledge it was never stated in the manga and it's just another retarded bit of fanon people confuse with canon.

It seems that shinobi can wipe out entire islands (maybe they used bijuu), since the only bit of land from the Whirlpool Country that was not completely destroyed is Wave. :awesome

Maybe I read a different manga, but I never saw this motif present - especially in a way that would apply to Naruto.

He always was a Jinchuriki, which gave him extreme boosts whenever he decided to use Kyuubi's chakra, he was always a ninja who learns new techniques extremely fast (beginning with Kage Bunshin, tree walking and ending on Rasengan).

 

Well, I'd call Kyuubi and Sage Mode 'boosters' of sorts. But I agree, I think Kishimoto forgot that Naruto is supposed to be a ninja, stealth and deception are useless, right?

I just watched the latest episode, the fight between Pein and kyuubified Naruto was simply ridiculous. Naruto was shooting some kind of laser beams straight at his face...

He may learn new techniques extremely fast, but he doesn't exploit that fact.

I just looked it up on Narutopedia, he learned how to do seven techniques, Henge, Kawarimi, Kage Bunshin and his four different Rasengans.

I don't really count Clone #1 attacking with a Kunai and Clone #2 attacking with a Rasengang to be two different techniques...

Fanfiction simply proves how much potential this Universe has and how much canon, in my opinion at least, sucks.

 

Fanfiction tends to prove that in most of cases (HP, Bleach).

 

I think we just assumed it had to be a newborn since the first two jinchuuriki we were introduced with - Naruto and Gaara - were sealed right after (or in Gaara's case, during?) birth. Now it would seem that you can seal a bijuu into a child (Kushina and Bee) or in the case of a particularly powerful ninja (Rikudou Sennin and Madara?) later on in life as well.

However, I think the rule still stands that in a normal case it must be sealed into a child. Otherwise there'd be no reason to seal a bijuu in a kid when you could simply do so into the Kage or a sufficiently powerful adult.

Really? I found this episode rather amusing. Roadrunner/fish Pein, and some of the faces both of them made were quite entertaining. But, you can't forget Pein's Falcon Punch! Although, the Kyuubi looked like a fucking hairless rabbit O_O

Imagine what Naruto will be able to do now that he has control over the Kyuubi. What I don't get however, is why Kyuubi has control over fire...

 

I thought both updates were pretty good. The anime fight was pretty epic, with fucking fireballs and lasers flying all over the place and Pein making all these retarded faces lol.

I liked the manga chapter and didn't really have a problem with most of it. It does feel a bit like it was fanfic inspired, what with the relation to the Senju and powerful!Uzumaki clan, but overall it was pretty good and I don't mind the back story revelations.

 

Mandara attacked while Naruto was being born?

also, and while I can't deliver a quote or anything, I am fairly sure that they said at one point that it had to be sealed in a newborn. Or was that really just mixing up canon with anime/fanfiction? Because it made perfect sense to have a newborn.

 

After watching 167 all I can say is - this if a FUCKING FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably the best fight in manga was turned in to a fucking fuck fest of two fags and it was so badly drawn that it hurt my eyes....
