Chapter was meh. The konan backstory was pointless and the frog costumes were dumb. Madara continued to be a saturday morning cartoon villain and all in all it felt pretty generic.

 

Frankly, yes.

It sounds slightly more enjoyable than the one where a 120-year old dead man got himself beaten by the 4th Hokage, and tried destroy Konoha.

Besides, I'm not sure where there's the evidence that the Mangekyo Sharingan can even make the wielder live longer than the average bear. If anything, it's been shown to be heath risk. The only example that culd be construed as 'support' is that Izanagi bullshit, which is more of a 'Phoenix Down' sort of deal than anything else.

 

I figure what he took from the First was what gave him his longevity. Same kind of thing the Uzumaki's have.

The thing I still don't get is the claim that Nagato's eyes are actually Madara's. That still has not been explained properly.

 

Naruto canon question!!

On the Naruto world map, there are two unmarked countries between Fire and Lightning.

Does anyone know what they are? Or, if I were writing a fanfic could I just name them "Jazz Country" and "Bear Country"?

I really don't think anyone would care enough to investigate whether or not the names you give are true or not. I certainly wouldn't

 

If these countries are named, it would only have been done in anime filler and therefore be a lie, so knock yourself out.

Really? I kinda liked parts of its actually. Madara is doing Orochimaru-levels of genetic engineering by creating Zetsu, and he's actually explained how he got so many Zetsus in a decent manner, though the numbers of both them and the ninja alliance throw me off . Plus its nice to see a little plot hook to have Tsunade versus Madara in Hashirama's cells and its always good to have Kabuto around. The Zetsu explanation actually helped me overcome a part of my long-term Naruto fic-in-progress.

 

I'll admit that reading the spoiler without pictures gave me a bad idea of what the chapter was going to be. It was better than I expected. The Zetsu explanation was decent, and the use of biju chakra actually makes a little sense.

The whole mad scientist thing really annoys me. Orochimaru was cool with it, it made him all the more awesome. But Madara being some genius scientist capable of creating some S-ranked ninja, and then making 100,000 of him? It rubs me the wrong way and seems contrived. Frankly, I'm a big fan of the clean cut ninja world from way back when Zabuza was still around. It seems like Kishi doesn't know where he's going and just makes it up as he goes. The whole 80,000 joint ninja vs. 100,000 Zetsus just seems stupid. How the fuck is he going to actually write battle scenes between them?

Having Kabuto around is great, as usual. He's my favorite villain, simply because he doesn't have some over complicated plan for world domination. At least not yet.

Decent chapter IMO.

I liked Madara and Kabuto's interaction. Kabuto especially is kinda cool right now.

Overall, I actually quite enjoyed this chapter.

Wow and this gets really stupid. Now the people who stole from the firsts grave were Orochimaru, Danzo and Madara. Seems like you don't get to be a villain unless you violate the Shodaime's corpse.

And is it me or are genetics a pretty loose science in Naruto? You can do anything with it. Makes me wonder why they didn't have more clone wars, seeing you could clone the enemy if you injured him in a fight.

It is also pretty much proven that nobody burns the corpses of people with big bloodlines so how come we don't see a lot more people with Byakugan, Sharingan and other bloodlinelimits? Kumo must suck if they still haven't got a Byakugan. All they have to do is dig around Konoha a bit, would have found some in no time.

It is pretty convenient that Madara doesn't need to take care or the clones by giving them food, water, toilets, training, and just has them standing there for I don't know how many months at one place. Of course they will be able to move and fight at once and will not have incredible joint pains. I know, nitpicky argument in a shonen manga but still.

Oh well, this seems like more of a zombie army than a clone one anyway. Probably going to leech the chakra of the enemy. It is just concerning if the Star Wars movie Kishi is most inspired by is Attack of the Clones >_>

The turtle was nice though, although it would have made more sense for guy to know something about it, seeing he has the freaking turtle summon.

The Kages were still entertaining and the joint shinobi central was nice, as great as Kishi is with drawing interesting and different characters, he is terrible with giving numbers. if the shinobi forces of the hidden villages is 80 000 and if we say that all five nations have somewhat equal numbers (although sand should have less) that means each nation has ca 16 000 shinobi. Means Konoha had 16 000 shinobi and Pain curbstomped 16 000 (lets say 10 000 with 5000 gone for missions, holding positions and other stuff) enemies alone. I never thought the hidden villages, Konoha especially had more than 500-600 shinobi. The classes were never that big and at no point did we see many shinobi. And seeing that Konoha was pretty much the biggest one...

80 000 shinobi, 100 000 zetsu, a few billion paper bombs he really has a way with numbers.

 

I remember at the first few chapters when the Jonin and Chunin were gathered they weren't more than a couple dozen, now they've reached thousands.
A 100000 copies of Zetsu? Come on Kishimoto! Think of something not retarded.
This keeps getting worse. Must they recycle old enemies? That sucks. All the trouble they went through to kill them, and poof! Kabuto brings them back.
Kabuto would look awesome, if it weren't for his horrible hood.

Well for eye's it should be pretty obvious, immediately after death your eye starts deteriorating in about 15 minute's it loses any capability for sight.

As for other bloodlines, not many people with as little scrupples as Danzo and Snakiespice.
