Have you any idea when this is going to be ready?

Also, will you be including something similar to C2 communities? If you do can you please make it so that changing your story summary doen't remove your fic from the C2's it's listed in. This happened to me last week.

I agree with everything suggesteed here, bar that comment about hiding slash fics.

What rating limit would you have, ff.n's with M(or R) being the highest, or go up to NC-17? I would suggest the latter.

Why not (not sure if this is possible) have it programmed so that a story title will show up in a different colour if you have read it in the last month or so. I personally would find it helpful, I read a lot of very short fics, wiht only a few chapters, and I don't bookmark them or anything. I don't like wasting time loading up a story fi I have already read it recently. If there was a way to mark a story that has been visted by your IP addy or soemthing it would help.

 

What really irks me with FFN is that they filter your html code, removing everything save a few tags they allow (not to mention some very useful characters, like * or %). I also have an account at FicWad, but they're even worse, by removing paragraphs and making stories almost completely unreadable.

You should allow wider a variety of HTML tags in chapter texts and rely on authors to keep their files readable. Those who hog their files with useless colorful crap won't get any public anyway.

I agree about tables, totaly unnecessary. Don't forget <blockquote>, I find it very useful.

 

Err... don't get me wrong or anything, but are you sure that "PatronusCharm" is the best name for your site? I mean, many people don't even know how to spell "Patronus" (I admit, I had to check if it wasn't 'Patronius'). It could be a bother trying to type it.

Furthermore, there's nothing in the name indicationg that it contains fanfiction at all. Let's face it, most people who're looking to post stories would check under suggestive names, such as fanfiction.net or hpfanfiction or potterfans etc. before looking any further.

 

plus the irony of a forum dedicated to dark Harry hosting a site named after the thing dark beings hate is just too sweet to pass up

I'd say the name is so to scare away all those demented/fannish/crappy fictions, and let's just hope it works. I really can't wait to see how it'll all look like.
