The seven core books are canon - the status of everything else [supplementals, interviews, etc] depends on your personal preference. Pottermore content will probably end up being treated about the same as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Quidditch Through the Ages. Accept them or ignore them as you like.

Won't know for sure what to think about the new content until we actually see some tho.

 

I actually rate Fantastic Beasts and Quidditch through the ages, as well as The Tales as canon.

Though I dismiss most of her other brainfarts like the "House of Black" sketch and its contradictory birthday dates.

 

Official releases are canon to me (so all the books and Pottermore). Everything else usually isn't thought out as well and serves as an indication of what the canon world is like, but can't always be taken as strict fact (amount of wizards and dates on Black family tree for example).

Dumbledore's still gay though.

 

Taure was right. It's an interactive 'game' in which you will explore the HP world and unlock new information about the subject of your exploration. So lets say you are in the Dursleys household and click on a portrait of Petunia in her childhood, you will get to learn more about Petunia as a child, etc.

 

So, has anyone gotten on to the actual site? I'm still stuck at the congrats on validating your account page. Am I missing something here?
