The Warlock's Apprentice

Starts with the Dementor attack and is based upon Dumbledore training Harry over the rest of the holidays. Considering Harry's strength after that time you could loosely call him a prodigy.

There are a lot of ridiculous things in this fic, the aforementioned powerboost is one of them, but it does a lot of things right as well. I couldn't stop reading, at least. About half of the conversations between Dumbledore and Harry are either well done or simply amusing and the author is quite good at writing over the top but enjoyable combat scenes.

If you're simply bored and looking for something to read you could give it a try.

 

The Other Side of The Coin and Sequel can be found in WBA. It has promise despite it's slow update rate.

Read it a few months ago, seemed good but I don't remember much. Sirius Potter is BWL. James Potter has been shown as a douchebag. It gets somewhat better with time.
