I think the answer to Amon's riddle is rain, so water should do it as well.

 

I think water is more accurate than rain actually, as it needs a steady flow over a long time to crack rocks, like a river or stream.

Yes the answer was water. Soothes the skin during, say, a shower, caresses the sky with rain, and as Glernaj said it cracks rocks through expansion and what not.

This one hasn't had any tries and I found it to be quite the pickle:

I would say Coal as it sits underground and than is valued when it becomes a diamond but it doesnt make sense from the "Mother's body drawn" part.

EDIT: Screw it, I'm just going to say it. I believe it's cheese. It comes from Mother Nature, it is hung until the dried bits fall off, and then is sold at market. The only thing that is confusing me is the cave part. Maybe I just don't know enough about cheese. And yes, after I got my answer I wiki'd to make sure that I was correct about cheese being hung as I didn't want to seem like a total retard.
