    1. You may post only one story per thread per person. Extra entries will be deleted.
    2. Follow the story posting format found in the FOR REVIEW forum, though you may disregard the "DLP Category."
    3. Follow the mandate of the award. If the story does not match the category, it will be removed.
    4. Do not post duplicate nominations in the same category. Duplicates will be deleted.
    5. Do not post stories that haven't been updated in 2006.
    6. Do not post stories that won last year's awards. Winners for last year's DLP FanFiction Awards.
    7. You may nominate a story for more than one category.
    8. For character awards, list the character the story it was nominated for. This is the categories Best Hero, Best Anti-Hero, Best Villain, and Best Original Character. Place Character: Name at the top of the posting format.
Remember, you have almost two weeks to do this. Take your time and do it right. Post stories you think should win the award, not just any old story that matches the category.

    Multiple Nominations

Just posting this to ask, with respect, people not to bother nominating any story that has already been nominated for any particular category. For example, in the “Best Story” thread, Thalarian’s story has been nominated by two people twice in a row. This should be avoided for two reasons:

    1. This is the nomination period, not the voting period, so once a story has been nominated, it is already eligible for that award: nominating it again is unnecessary and doesn’t do anything.

    2. Making multiple nominations, as well as being unnecessary, will give people an idea of which stories are in the lead. Not only will this spoil the suspense of the vote, but it may also skew the eventual vote, as people’s opinions may be swayed by the popularity of a certain story.

I understood that people want to show which fics they like best by nominating them whether or not they have already been nominated, but please save this for the actual voting, not the nomination period.

    Thanks.

Ok, I can't edit his post to express my agreement with Taure so I'll do it in a separate post:

DO NOT nominate a fic which has already been nominated.

In other words, don't just disregard what Taure has just posted because his name isn't dark green or orange.

Taure's post is approved of by myself as well. As an addendum, please be serious with your nominations.

Do the stories have to have been created in 2006, or merely updated within said year?

If you won one section of it, can you be nominated for a different award?

I already did this but I'll ask now.
For the one shot nominations is it fine if I nominated a two-part oneshot?
or is it just limited to what its name implies....One shot

    Merely updated.

    Yes.

That's fine, as long as it's a single part. A "multiple chapter" one-shot doesn't exist.
