The town dragged Fluff limply towards the guillotine where several people were wiping the suds off the now gleaming blade. One gave a thumbs up. “All clean! Bring the prisoner!”

“A prisoner?” someone dragging Fluff’s arm complained. “More like a sack of potatoes.”

“Sad potatoes,” said another thoughtfully as they threw Fluff before the blade. Fluff laid there, face squished against the wood. Someone prodded him with a foot.

“Did someone already execute him? Lethal injection? Lobotomy?”

“Let me die,” Fluff said, voice mumbled.

They looked at each other and shrugged. They put Fluff’s neck below the guillotine, and as red burned across the sky, the town gathered before it.

One separated themself and cleared their throat. “Fluffiness F. His, you sentenced to die for… not… doing anything? Yeah, okay sure. Also you killed Font and we’re blaming you for Jari.” Their voice lowered so that only Fluff could hear them. “Really, Fluff, we know you’re unhappy, which means scum. Only scum would not like our wonderful vanilla paradise. So, you gotta die. Any last words? To god, at least?”

Tears dotted the wood underneath Fluff’s face. “I have nothing to say to god,” he sniffed. “She knows what she did. That asshole… You know what?”

The town was shocked when Fluff stood up because no one actually bother to attach him to the guillotine. He shook a fist up at the sky.

“You asshole! Of course I’m sad! You made me vanilla! You did this! You and your dice!”

Town people pushed Fluff back onto the guillotine.

“I won’t forget this! You bastard! I want a reroll! I wanted to be scum! SSCUUUUUUUUUM!”

The guillotine swooshed.

Fluff’s head rolled onto the grass.

Someone said, “Well, hey, look on the bright side. At least in the end, Fluff got his re-roll.”

Silence. Then the town exchanged high-fives.

“Ooohhhhh, black comedy!”



Fluff’s head rolled into the horizon!

Night Two has started!

 

How filling?

 

The wind blew heavy when the town woke up next morning. They shivered in their sweaters and coats, bleary-eyed and scared as they assembled in the clearing. At once, they saw their missing number.

“Well, we knew Jan was going to die,” someone said.

They found Jan at his breakfast table, coffee cold and his body slumped over the table, like he had fallen asleep. Their group’s resident poison expert discovered someone had slipped poison into Jan’s coffee. But the smell from the poison was terrible. How could Jan not have smelled it before he drank?

“Must be a cold,” someone said, and everyone nodded.

They carried Jan’s body to the outskirts of town and threw it into the grave they dug for him as soon as they arrived. His tombstone read:

2017-2017

Let him find peace in the afterlife​

Jan was poisoned!

He was a Town Happy Camper!

Fable's vote was ~20 seconds after mine, and Jan's half a minute after that. Fable almost certainly didn't see my vote or have time to change course in that short of a time, so the most likely explanation is that at 4:4 he jumped ship to avoid a NL, basically the same as me. If GH is scum, I would give him slight town points for this.

I have this problem where I'm village reading everyone who isn't miner/GH and I'm decently sure that's not the team so I've fucked up super hard somewhere.

 

Same general feeling, but I don't have a good reason to rule out miner/GH other than "game can't possibly be that easy." It would be shocking if they were both town.

Why do you have them as not w/w?

 

It has evolved. He's been pretty consistently dropping in my reads and is currently one of my top suspects along with Miner and yourself.

I was wrong to move off miner, but I don't really regret it at the same time because Fluff was, quite honestly, a menace.

I didn't really look at thread during nightphase. Got bored and caught up with a turbo instead, and then went out with friends a bit later. Despite that, a conversation I had with someone last night somewhat inspired me, though, and I'm determined to leave this day having found both wolves.

 

Vote analysis/reads progression reads do support this hypothesis, if that helps.

 

@GeneralHankerchief I find it hard to believe you thought you were a likely nightkill, given the amount of votes on you at EoD. Mind going a bit into your thought process in these posts?

That's an interesting "typo". I get that you meant, "If Fluff and Miner both flip town", but can you go into why you thought so?
