Town read on Newcomb is based mostly around 1) His interactions with Eido and 2) What seems to be the way he's approaching this game.

For 1) I think the second paragraph in 150 is already starting to move outside of his scum range in that I don't think after having just played a poor game as scum he makes that post to someone that's notorious for being able to read/understand him there as his first sort of ~game comment~ but is very very much strengthened by his 288, know he's very much in a "Still have people doubt/question me when I'm town and I just got lynched as scum, is a loss/loss type situation" about his play so everything about this post is super real/genuine and I think him just being unable to hold back stating it and throwing it out to Eido specifically just, yeah, is not something he feels comfortable doing as scum at all. And for 2) I think his approach and how he's thinking about this game here is a "Is Eido/Vaimes/Regfan town?" type thing. Can be seen in 264, 322 where he's trying to think about and focus on eliminating potential for worlds where 2+ of those names are scum (which would allow him to trust each others reads on each other) and the fact he's sort of thinking this way is super noticeable in 296. Think it's an approach to the game that makes a hell lot of sense as town and how I know he operates.

Why is Eido town in your assessment? I feel like I need to get a better handle on his playstyle.

I've been doing Jury work for champs nonstop for the last few days, I've read 10 full mafia games clocking in at like 40k posts total, and so many iso's that my eyes are leaking out of my skull.

I need a break from reading mafia posts, and in retrospect should not have signed up for this game.

We'll see how my self control holds, as I do want to dance with Newcomb a bit tonight, but you aren't going to see me ramp up until d2.

You aren't going to lynch me, and I'll still be dead by d3 or 4 probably, so go do something else, Gemma. You haven't played with me, but treat me like you would Newcomb or Reg tbh. I'll be obvious town or dead sooner rather than later, and it's just a waste of time on D1.

Alternatively, you're a wolf who knows it's a waste of time on D1 and that's why you're doing it, but I don't really feel like parsing that right now. Poke other people with sticks so I can get a read on you easier, thanks.
