Okay. I've always been under the impression you just don't mention qts at all, unless it's an outed neighborhood or such.

 

I read the rules, and I see nothing here that mentions referencing posts in a QT that may or may not exist. However, if I made a rules violation you can make the mod aware and they can deal with it. Otherwise, ask me about my reads or something else please. This kind of talk is boring.

We don't care about the content of your reads, we care about how you got there.

Saying you think tom is town is going to swing the needle 0% for anyone in this game. I don't care which alignment you think tom is, I care what process you went through to come up with that. What thoughts you had in your head, what you saw and how you reacted to it.

I don't need long drawn out analysis, but shotgunning reads isn't doing anything to help me get into your head.

"Page 3: Tom town." - that's basically a note for your own personal use. All it does is invite the "okay, why?" predictable question, so why not just start with that?

I've never had to tell anyone what they find interesting before, this is rather novel.

 

You're wrong. I don't care about swinging the needle because Tom isn't near being lynched. Wallposting is much easier to fake than natural flow posting, its why many people have scum games that are more "calculated". I can write a long wordy thing about why Tom's probably town - his posts feel natural, I had the same thought at the time, good tone, etc. Overly wordy explanations are scum indicative, its calculated and unnatural.

Shotgunning reads fulfills the purpose of this: do you read page 3 (and prior) and agree with my Tom read? If so, it has the potential to be a townie mindset, because I'm analyzing the game and coming to real townie conclusions. If not, it could ping you as potentially scummy, though of course reading people is more complicated than that.
