Why must all of you cockmonkeys tarnish the Spartans' half decent names?

Why must all of you cockmonkeys tarnish the name of the creator of bucolic poetry?

I've registered as Kenshkrix, I'll check out the clan after I explore the game a little bit.

Kenshkrix, permit me to suggest that you may wish to join a Clan sooner rather than later. Without the knowledge held by files within the Clan, you will be literally stumbling blind. The goal of the game is to gain powers. Said powers are found at specific guilds, that change their location in the City every 3 days or so.

If I might also extoll the virtues of my current Clan, the Clan de Beljeferon. Owned and run by The Grand Duke Beljeferon de Centari, one of the original 100. Means he was one of the first 100 players to play the game, one of only about 3 or so of the original hundred still playing, which means he's been at it for more than 10 years. We have by far the largest membership of any Clan in the City.

We have an experienced Diplomatic team to resolve any difficulties any member experiences in the City. We also intercede in many conflicts in the City at the request of other players. The House of Diplomacy is led by myself.

We have the Centari National Bank and Trust, which gives interest free loans to any member of the Clan, and provides free scholarships to all students who register at our school.

Our school, the Schola Eruditio, run by myself and another experienced player, provides a well rounded education designed to prepare you to serve in one of the Clan's Houses.

We have an Information House, which provides up to date information on guild and shop locations in the City (power guilds, and shops for things such as weapons move randomly around the City, some at 12 hour intervals some at 3 day intervals).

We have 2 seats on the Ravenblack City High Council, which is responsible for filtering and voting on all ideas to be sent to Ravenblack, the guy who programmed and created the game.

We have a wide alliance, which includes the second oldest Clan in the City (us being the oldest) amongst others.

In the game I am formally known as:

    Earl Mordecai de Centari
High Lord of Diplomacy Clan de Beljeferon
Master Thief Centari National Bank and Trust
    Headmaster Schola Eruditio (Acting)
    High Councillor Ravenblack City
    Childre of The Grand Duke
Graduate of the Clan of the Archangel Officer Training School
Recipient of the Clan of the Archangel Medal of Service

I have been playing the game for nearly 4 years, and I am almost guarenteed to know the answer to any question you may have about the mechanics of the game, or the politics of the game. And if I don't know the answer, my contacts extend to the leader of the City Nightwatch, the leader of the most efficient bunch of warriors in the game, and the currently most powerful and insane player in the game. So I can easily find out.

By joining the Clan de Beljeferon, you will be able to participate in the game at your own pace, rather than at the rabidly active tempo required by a lot of Clans. We have survived for years by evolving and adapting, and most of all by negotiating our way through the politics of the City. No other Clan can claim this.
