Basically that. There's more to it, but I'm waiting for tom to respond first, sorry.

Waco, what do you think would be the scum motivation for Gemma/Sloth/Ter to do that? Just the generic "scum wanna push things" tom mentioned?

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean overthinking in that way. I'm not more cautious with making/wording posts as town than I am as mafia. As town I overthink my actual thoughts about people, but as mafia I have no stakes in being right and don't have to do that.

When you said you overthink things as mafia, you meant in terms of wording?

    Oh hey.

Too early. Definitely not going to defend her, though.

    What she said

Not many on other sites either I'm guessing?

This isn't a serious suggestion right? Prioritize lynching scum, not seeding paranoia.

Yeah, like what/who you choose to respond to and wording/how you structure your responses
    --- Post automerged ---
But I agree, mafia are way more free to jump on whatever train without concern

I think that's enough jumping on the new guy.

What's the "more to it", fonti? Unless you don't want to talk about it until later.

What do you think of tom now that he's posted some more, Umami?

My general thoughts are umami was extremely obviously town when she was town. She skipped around the thread doing her own thing agendalessly and it shone through (to me)

Here she feels a little mysterious. A little chummy. More agenda-y
    Which
Like can totally be her evolution as a player. Its certainly the path I took.

    Maybe thats a better analogy...
Last game she played like vaimes, so far here shes playing more like me.

Her response felt oddly defensive about something she could have easily shrugged off

Pretty much (especially for Ter/Gemma) it can be an attempt to push things to direct conversation/perceptions coming out of RVS. It's not a strong read, as it can be overeager town trying to get a quick read, but yeah.

I feel like I'm kind of a perfectionist with my posts as both alignments, which leads to me being conservative. Mostly since any time I speculated in my last few games before the hiatus, I had it rammed back down my throat as I got mislynched.

    More meme analogies:

    Scumfonti has this energy:
Here she feels more considerate and collaborative.
Mostly in microcosm after my conversation starter. Like, talk to me>think about fire>question gemma.
And nothing really asserted there. Its (on the binary scale) passive rather than aggressive, but still proactive.

Its more a Jamie Hyneman energy than an Adam Savage one. Which I think is towny for fonti?

That's cause she's a delight, buddy. Unlike your cool-job-having ass. (This got turned around into a compliment?)

On topic, that was pretty much what I assumed you get going for in "weirdness"/lack of townread.

@Gemma what was your thought process in assuming that it was the formatting?
It was not the natural assumption in any way given the wording of both tom and fire's posts. Also doesn't seem like you to assume things, period.

Are you saying that the natural play to be expected here in comparison to MTG from you is by default scummier?
    'Cause I hate you.

On that note what else have you noticed on Gemma?

Hmm, Waco, do you have any thoughts about what Gemma and Sloth have done besides their early response to that post?

What did you mean by this bolded part, Sloth?
    --- Post automerged ---
Actually never mind, for Gemma, pretend that's a blanket question on if you've got other thoughts on her you haven't posted?
