What does the selection of these particular Pokemon tell us about this region?

 

Seems fairly self-contained, so I guess we've decided trading is bullshit or something. Virtually no steel, fighting, or normal types, a ton of grass and poison. I'm guessing the focus is on the natural world, and people never existed. Our legendaries are the dark side of the moon pokemon and the time travel pokemon. Dark AU confirmed.

 

The player failed in Pokemon Emerald and the battle between Groudon and Kyogre killed most of humanity and lots of Pokemon species.

This region is on a new island created by Groudon and the plot is set hundred of years after the apocalypse.

Humanity has just started to recover and our main hero is searching for Celebi to change history and prevent the disaster.
