I'm getting increasingly disenchanted with the self proclaimed 'civilized countries' lately. The level of bullshit is overwhelming.

Maybe I was vague. Here's the two ideas that don't let me agree with you:

First, in moral (not legal) sense, rape is unconsensual. Period. If a hormone crazy teenager manages to talk an adult woman into something, it's not "forced", or "made to". One idiot went for it, another one let him. It's a crime, obviosly, since the boy hasn't reached the the age of consent (which varies quite radically across states and time periods).

But there's law, and there's life. That's the second thesis. It's unhuman to report the second idiot and turn her l life into ruins.

You don’t seem to realise that the equality of sexes applies in every way and does not make exceptions. This applies to sexual intercourse and rape. A situation that would be considered rape for a man applies for a woman as well. Reversing genders is very much a thing that must be done.

Like, a completely different philosophy than the modern equality between the sexes that is prevalent in western culture. Grenn, don't take my clarifying what I think your point is as an agreement, by the way. Children cannot consent to sex, regardless of their gender, whether legally or morally. Adults are expected to be able to apply enough reason to any situation to be able to refuse a child unprotected sex when they ask for it. If the girl in this case could not do that, then yes, she deserves legal punishment.

As for the actual topic of this thread. Tonks is a cop who volunteers for a paramilitary organization. Harry is a child who doesn't understand why people concerned about him being murdered took away his broomstick to make sure it wasn't sent to assassinate him. They are not the same.

 

You can think of Tonks as the equivalent of a fully equipped Ukrainian soldier who's gone through both basic training and puberty, and Harry as the underage Russian conscript without any training or bullets and only two pubes, both of which are on his chin.

Because a) the brain isn't effected, otherwise Tonks would think she's someone else when she morphs into them and aging potions did nothing to the twins, and b) because the problem isn't the physical differences, but the mental and emotional maturity differences
