How do you keep track of the fanfics you read?

I previously used Goodreads to track my reading, but I found that many fanfics were not included. To address this, I started using favorites/bookmarks from individual sites like FanFiction.net (FF) and Archive of Our Own (AO3) to keep track of my reads. However, I didn't like having multiple lists scattered across different platforms. Now, I use Calibre to manage my fanfics. I download the stories using tools like FicHub, the FanFicFare plugin for Calibre, or directly from AO3. I have set up an action chain in Calibre that allows me to simply add a rating, which then automatically updates the reading status to "read" and adds the current date as the read date.

I'm curious to know how others in the community keep track of the fanfics they read. Do you use a specific tool or method? I'd love to hear your strategies and any tips you might have!

Is there some site where I can add the title, author, rating, read date, and maybe a short review for any fanfic—not just complete ones or some subset? This would have been helpful for keeping a comprehensive record of my reading.

    Thanks for sharing!

I read one at a time. Not a very high tech method, but it works just fine.

    I’m just messy.

FFnet, Ao3, RoyalRoad I check my follow lists semi-regularly. Patreon updates I have notifs on for.

Finished fics I liked are favorited across those sites as well, and obviously the best ones are recommended here so Xion pings the thread with updates!

I mostly read one at a time, but I don't worry about it if I forget one.

Generally reading only one or two at a time, but also by being liberal with the ignore/block/hide function.

If I've got partway into something and gave up on it, then beginning again sucks. I'll remember the shape of the story, and then remember why I stopped reading. So just making it something I can't stumble across means I can forget entirely.

I read them until I reach the end, then subscribe to them. If I come across a fic again, I remember it, and can see if I subscribed to it or gave it the flick.

I go chaotic neutral and favorite everything that looks remotely interesting and see what updates.

I only have two that I'm following at the moment so keeping track of updates isn't difficult.

I'm using a script called FanfictionNavigator to mark fics on Fanfiction.net and Ao3 with like/dislike/mark/library, each marking the story summary with a different colour. If I really like the story I follow it and/or the author.
