    It seems to suffer from POS (piece of shit/prince of slytherin) syndrome (millions of words, drags on without arriving at any kind of conclusion) so I can't imagine it's "good", at least in the sense of what I would consider good.

    I catch up with it every few months. The writing, technically, is very good, and the plot is clever enough, interesting things happening.

    The story is wrapped around a hard 'Mary Sue' core which is hard to ignore sometimes. It's amusing how the author attempts a defence against the 'Mary Sue' comparison in her profile. In the story Hermione *is* 'perfect and special and the best at everything' even if not - hah! - a 'self insert'. I've been finding it harder to ignore how no other Muggle-born nor Muggle-raised ever ever evah has the ideas that Hermione has. And (pretty much) *everyone* likes/loves Hermione.

    (Thinking about it, the story was more riveting back when Hermione was first inducted into Slytherin and had to overcome some severe resistance among the upper classmen. I think it's been smooth sailing for eons now.)

    Still, it's an enjoyable enough read, if more trite?
