trusting Dumbledore is like the only reasonable option I can think of.
doing that we can hopefully capture Voldemort year 1 and imprision him somehow so I dont have to die to kill him.
after that I'd do the classic stuff like using Pettigrew to free Sirius and hunt down all the horcruxes other than me.

After that I'd just ask Dumbledore to transfigure me back into an adult man that looks like me(maybe with some improvements) and I'd then live out my days outside of the UK with the Potter fortune while learning magic from tutors and books. then after I eventually die after what is hopefully a long and happy life, Voldemort would just die with me, with no other hocruxes anchoring him anymore.

I would be telling Dumbledore. The small hole we get into the HP world through the books wouldn't justify not telling one of the best people in a position to prevent the war and save lives, it would be extremely selfish and irresponsible not to pass your knowledge on to those better equip to deal with it because of some MC syndrome we might have because we read a few books and think we know better.

Beyond as people have pointed out the whole timeline derailing within a certain timeframe compared to your canon knowledge, do people think if they somehow ended up in the same situations they would act the same way Harry acted in those defining moments? Somehow change it just enough for a better outcome? More than likely you would duck when you should have weaved and bang you or someone else is dead or worse, expelled. Harry and company had balls of steel in those deadly situations they found themselves in, put most of us in a similar scenario and it wouldn't play out the same way even if we wanted it to, especially since as adults we are all much more risk-averse compared to children. Facing a basilisk, dragon and murderous lunatics just to name a few things reads great in a book but probably not so great to experience first hand in real life.

tl;dr Just because you are born into Harry Potters body doesn't mean you will be a gun on a broom. Give your knowledge to those better equip to use it and leave it to the experts.

Hide a claymore mine under Quirelle's desk. Then rob Ginny of the diary. That give three years to get this magic shit down before any serious business goes down. More, if you want to try to do something about Pettigrew and Sirius. Learn enough magic that I can manage to teach myself the rest, then go live with the muggles and win big on the stock market for the next 20 years, hiding my identity under the Fidelius Charm.

Just have him use a pensieve on you?

It would also explain your knowledge of the future and any events that might happen, because their is absolutely no way someone fresh from the muggle world would know anything about pensieves.

    Legillemency works too
