I was watching Foamy the other day when I thought to myself why not make a flash cartoon for DLP. Problem is I have no idea how one would go about doing that or any sort of story line things to it. I thought i would bring up the idea here and see what everyone thinks of it. Then perhaps if the idea has merit form a team of sorts to make this. Just use your imagination and think of the possibilities of it. post any ideas and such. This idea may be incredibly stuiped but hey I thought it would be worth it ti see what people think of the idea

 

I'm a graphic artist for Pinneast, and I have some Flash experience. Not enough to do this, but enough to help out.

If this idea takes off, and we have a member who is an expert in flash, then I would like to help out. Just let me know.

 

This would be a good idea if we had people around here with that kind of experience.

Yeah, I think the idea would be great too, and I'd even be willing to supply my voice for it. Hopefully, one of the other nine hundred odd members here is skilled enough at Flash to be able to make it.

 

I wholeheartedly endore this, I'm rather talentless when it comes to coding, I'd appreciate this alot though as would the rest of the staff if it happened.

 

yes!! i suggested something good for once. I would do scripts if someone gave me story boards. but first we would need someone who has experiance with flash and is good at making stuff for it.

 

Yeah, to make a good quality Flash movie, you are going to need someone who is highly familar with ActionScripting.

 

How about a cartoon that is like the Foamy rants where we rant about the whore?

As for the Rants?... if at all i tihnk it should be limited to Admins/mods. Too many useres to let everyone rant about something.

I don't think it should be limited to Admins and Mods... I do think that there should be a quality control committee in place to preview the scripts beforehand.

 

A committee of like four, but each of different pleasures when it comes to the fics they like. It can't all be biased cartoons knocking one person.

 

I myself am not too bad at Flash and can to a few good things, but I have some friends who are AMAZING at Flash adn they can help me with this so once I ask them I'll tell you guys. Hmmm I would like to be on the committee....I like Dark!Harry, so I can do that side.

 

Can I do the Angst Bashing one?

Can I be the one that does like an intro to each one? Something like "On today's DLP Cliche Rant, we have Giovanni ripping down the 'Angsty!Emo!Harry fics'". I can do a whole shitload of voices.

 

Just imagine animating the Cliche thread. It would be brilliant..

I dunno if anyone has listened to Ricky Gervais' podcast, but he has started to animate Monkey news. They are available on iTunes for free.

The reason I have mentioned that seemingly random point, is because the way the video casts are made, using flash, would be ideal for animating the Cliche thread...

 

yay i thought my topic had gottwen deleted or something. anyhow we need to find a way to organize all this and it wouldnt be limited to the mods lol i mean only the people working on this can actually make it. anyone can write scripts and such then we could like vote on it or something. all we have now is a bunch of random posts saying they would like to help in one way or another. can anyone start up a list or something. like someone take charge of this. it may be my idea but if i was in charge of it completly then we wouldnt get anything done.
