This is a story I read some time ago and found quite good. It is a Next Generation fic written in a Scrubs like style with James Sirius Potter as J.D, although it's not a crossover of course.

There is a short prologue for the whole thing which you can read here. While the main story is funnier, the prologue gives a good impression of what kind of fic to expect.

The only thing that annoys me about the story is that the author writes Frick instead of Fuck, fortunately that can be ignored.

It's a funny story and outright silly in some places. James in particular always cracks me up. Personally I think it deserves 4/5, more or less.

 

Eh, I find it hard to follow and I had zero attachment to any of the characters. JS seemed like a prick, and I didn't really want to read about him, so I closed it after 2 chapters.

It seems well-written, but I had absolutely no interest in the story.

 

EsperJones nailed it. James is an early-era Tom Hanks, delighted at his own smugness. 2/5

All this and the first chapter isn't even over yet. Dobby Longbottom????
I gave up at that point. It's written in first person so the author probably tried to get into character with his narration but still, no sixteen year old guy is going to say "bestest mate". Then in the same sentence he calls his best friend his "better half"... when the "frick" did the two get married.

Holly wands are good for charms work. Scrubs' protaganist frequently tried to be charming - but failed. Harry failed potions. This fic also failed.

OK, as a general rule i don´t read next-gen fics but i tried this since i like the Scrubs and thought that it maybe had the same kind of humor as the show.

I was disappointed when i realized that was not the case and the story did suck. It has very little in common with HP excluding some names and i felt very little for these characters.

The writing style irks me like none other. Since I cannot give a story a 0 rating, a bad 1/5 from me.

Cutesy "Gryffies" moniker makes me want to puch a baby. So does James, come to think of it. Another fic that should have been shit-canned ages ago.
