Hmm, interesting, I guess. And it's a little funny, I suppose. This particular fic is based on avoiding cliches from this link mentioned:

I felt it was only fair to read the list first before the fic, as clearly that was the inspiration. Considering that, the fic does a fair job of following the list, but I have some issues as well. First of all, what is this "Avada Kedarva" spell that keeps being mentioned? It does sound quite similar to "Avada KedAVRA", though. The usage of "Hermione Granger’s daughter" is not that amusing, honestly, and it fails the point of that list item (an "average" five year old child).

HOWEVER, the inclusion of Moody, and his response to Harry's setup almost redeems the whole thing. Almost.

In conclusion, it is "funny", but not "funny funny". Another way of putting it would be "inconsistently amusing" or perhaps "at times humorous or boring". But Jheph is quite right - the scenes are WAY too short and rushed. As it stands, I give it a:

This is an interesting idea. However, this author did not do a good job of it, so 3/5. I would, however, love to see a better author take up this idea and turn it into a full-fledged fic, comedy or otherwise.

 

An entirely satisfying read. Could have used a more elaborate plot and less silliness, but I guess it's decent enough as it is.

As has been said I would have prefered a full fic instead of just a one shot.

 

Oh lord, i loved that list. I remember it from about 6 years ago, when i was into pokemon forums. I submitted like a dozen of my own to that site.

Not bad, though yeah, crack.

 

Interesting concept, but falls short of the goal by not describing the items on the list. Makes me wish there was more TRUE Dark Lord Potter fics out there.

 

It was pretty funny, but I'd prefer him to go through the list as a larger fic. Still, amusing enough to merit a 4/5.

 

I liked this a lot. Not brilliantly executed, but a good idea for a one-shot. 4/5
